Day 2 learning nurse in console
Game 1. Got 1 hit. Then waited in basement for nearly the entire EGC staring at a wall.
Got a single hook and 2 hits. Maybe because ranks were a little closer? Still had to wait for almost the entire EGC before they left. And they found a second flashlight so got clicked spammed relentlessly.
All in all im not having fun in the least.

I'm not a Nurse main, but I don't think trying to learn her on console is worth it.

I'll be really impressed if you manage to master nurse on consoles. If you find it difficult now then wait for MMR to come out. Should have easier games then.

On PS4 I played a full rank reset from Rank 10 to Rank 1 with only Nurse at one point. Not worth it. Just end your torture now.

The thing I don't understand is how could they make a killer this hard to use? People say Blight is Nurse with extra steps. I'd argue it's the other way around. In theory, Nurse is the best killer in the game, but because of bad controls, we can't even use her. GG.

I like to play nurse on ps4 from time to time, and yes until you start understanding how she works it's.... Pain.... Sheer pain. Keep trying, you'll get there

Said it hundreds of times, we need a training mode so we can try before we buy. Even if it's just a killer on there own like in the how to play mode

Im starting to get blink ranges. Im not using add ons and only her 3 teachables. Im learning what i can and can't blink through.
Main issues are matchmaking. Theres being presented a challenge, and then there is hopelessness. I get playing against beter players forces you to improve, but at this point all im learning is which corner to hide in until they leave.
Also, fps and graphic quality. Some maps are so dark blinking past someone makes them invisible. Not to mention scratch marks just disappear. Im constantly blinking knowing they will double back so i turn in mid blink and they are just gone.
I hate to sound like complete whine but this is frustrating.

it took me a month of playing her like 5 times a day to get decent with her, of course since i stopped playing her all i have is muscle memory and i suck at the 2nd blink predictions.
I wouldn't try to go back into her even if i could get really good as she is just too frustrating to play.

That you are waiting in the basement for the egc to end, tells me that you are too easily frustrated. It makes no sense for you to do this. I learn nurse as a rank 1 killer. I get many red ranks and so i have no chance to win. But i dont care. When the exit gates are open and they can 100% escape, bc i need to hit them twice, i still practice my blinks. When you cant handle their toxity, its just torture to learn nurse.

Nurse is hard enough to learn on console but the ranks your against isnt helping you much.

Not trying to play (hiding in corners) is exactly how you don’t improve. So if we’re spending our matches like this and it turns out next match you still have just as hard a time? Surprised pikachu face

As far as the game being too dark, I feel you there. It's ridiculous to not have brightness options for a game in 2021. They're devoting resources to unpopular changes and we don't even have basic graphics options that have been standard since 2007.
One of the many hardware gaps between console and PC. I can't play this game with the default lighting. It's way too dark.

As far as giving up goes. I tried until the last gen popped. First game i did blink around getting timings and stuff down. As far as basement, i was going for someone and Didnt feel lile i should have blinked down at all. EGC was going on. So i just stayed there.
Lets be clear. I started the game playing old freddy and old leatherface. I considered myself a killer main. Never got past rank 7. That was before crossplay.
Im not the best player by far. Dont play nearly enough. 2 to 3 games every day or so.
Nurse is a challenge. I challenged myself to learn console huntress and can hold my own against those of my rank/skill level. Challenged myself at nurse just so i can do daily challenges.

Give yourself about a month , it takes a while to totally get the hang of the power and what to identify while in a chase , I've mained nurse for years now and even on pc it took about a month before I started being able to feel confident going against red rank swf , once you do get it down you'll never look back I promise you that.

Its good when you want a challenge. When you have fun with it in the long run, then do it. But it seems like you have no fun.

Well hello, Mr. Fancy Pants!

Those look a lot like my games with nurse... which is why I never play nurse unless there's a daily for her (and even then...I just reroll)

If some of the answers I got could help you. Took me six days of playing before everything clicked. I did good in red ranks crossplay with console Nurse, but sadly i don't play her much nowdays. But even on console she is very strong. Do not listen to people who say that it's not worth it on console, it is worth it.

I agree I haven't put the time in yet but I plan too very soon. I know it can be done on console because my 12 year old son is very very good with nurse on xbox. Honestly I think it's his best killer but he says demo is but whatever. So if a 12 year old can do it on console we all can to. Not saying my kid is stupid but come on the new generation is kinda meh. And no I'm not some old guy playing dbd ihad my first kid when i was 17 so I am just now 30.

Thanks. I will look at this after work. As far as nurse not being worth it on console, i don't beleive that. Her power means any kind of proficiency means she will be good.
This actually look like all my killer games. Hard part is, i have no other time open i can play during the week.

It took me over 50 hours on PC to begin 4k’ing with nurse, with tons of guides to help me along the way. I cannot imagine using a controller with her, you are braver than most.

Here I can tell you everything I know
1 tracking perks are your best friend
Especially anything with auras
2 good you dont want to use any addons that affect your blink because that affects your memory of her blinks
if you are gonna use any addons
You want fatigue time, blink recovery speed and maybe plaid flannel to learn here the blink range caps at
3 any walls that lead to the outside of the map you can't go through even if there is playable area just on the other side
4 if your blink doesn't meet the required distance to get through it it will send you shorter that what you charged for
Here I'll make a visual example you are o objects are ! And your current blink range is y
O. !!!!!! Y. you can go through it
O. !!!!!!!y!!! You will be sent back to here
O. Y!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 if your not feeling it take a game to practice your blinks
6 if you think someone is going to back into you but you can't see them blink to where you last saw them because if you are close enough you can use your second blink to catch up and possibly hit them and if they back into you hit them this will require quick reactions but is possible that's about all I can tell you good luck from one nurse player to another
Edit( I think I forgot to post it the first time so If this is here twice sorry for the spam)
Also if your haveing an issue seeing them mid blink try shadow born you will have to get used to blinks again because of the fov change but I notice less frame drops with it and it gives me a bit more time to react to a double back and even with my probably 100 hours in nurse I sometimes have those games so dont feel very bad

I tried playing a few games of nurse on PS4 and to be honest it's been a blast even though it's hard.
I've had 4ks against green ranks and low purples (with the 1 or 2 red ranks) (I'm rank 11 myself) and I've been destroyed by red ranks.
I don't have shadowborn yet so I hope it pops up soon enough, I bought it in the shrine for nurse especially. Can't wait to get better at it! I would say it's entirely worth it to invest some time in her, but that's the thing, you HAVE to invest some time and if you give up, it'll be for nothing.
Good luck!
N.B. You'll always have hopeless games that you would've lost even with another killer. The only full red ranks lobby I've got was against a SWF with a strode offering, OoO and some gen rushing items and perks (build to last.. wonder why lmao) so of course with my experience I didn't stand a chance, but the same would've happened with other killers so I didn't feel bad about my nurse plays.
