Body shaming by the DBD Community
I don’t know why it’s become a thing. Body shaming isn’t okay in any sense. Calling the way people play “small pp/big pp” and calling the open areas between trees that you can’t walk through “fat shaming” is actually body shaming all around. Can we start using other terminology to describe things?

Uhh.. this is in no way related to actual fat shaming & is instead used as a joke. If you can't handle jokes then I suggest taking a long break from the internet.. because they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

People of all genders and size use those terms. I’m a guy and I call things “small PP”. I’m not offended, and I also hear plenty of males call them that. Just because you’re offended, why should we all adjust?

I am overweight. I am 6'7". I would be as large as clown in the game. I don't get offended by stupid things people say about fat people in regards to a game. I don't get offended in real life. Why? Because I am fat because im too lazy to eat right. Its my fault. Someone saying someone is too fat to fit between trees isn't fat shaming. Especially if its true.

How is that "bait"? They bring up good points, how about you don't be so insensitive to others before you use harmful phrases like that?
No one should have to play this game and get triggered/reminded of something that might make them feel worse about their own body.

It is definitely bait because whenever somebody says such phrases, they in no way relate it to actual body-shaming. Instead, OP puts all of these thoughts into their head making something out to be what it's not. That isn't our fault.

I will say out of all the things I have heard on the internet, calling the swamp map's body blockers "fat shames" is one of the least offensive things I've heard. I'm not going to be mean but yeah... I don't know about this one chief.

I don't think people using these terms are in their heads thinking: "Yes, I'm going to body shame this person".
All terms have the meaning that anybody wants. I could be using a derogatory term but if my intentions are not like that, I'm not going against anybody.
Imagine a kid who learned that "#########" means cake. He wouldn't use that word in a derogatory way, and the same goes with word connotations.
Maybe in your circle of friends that's a bad word, but if you get into another circle of friends the meaning of that word will change.

Why is everyone just assuming OP is offended like they are making some kind of big deal out of it?
they wrote reasonably and shortly something that is actually correct.. without getting really emotional. seems like you all just get offended by being called out on using terms that are just rude..
there is no need to call this perk combo ‚small pp build‘, there is nothing descriptive about it, no value. I don’t even take anyone using it seriously at all because it’s obvious they have other issues than the perks themselves..

The only bodyshaming I experienced is when that ######### claudette looped me for 10 minutes making the game hostage on an infinite bodyshaming loop in the swamps.

Uhm... there is no subject being shamed for their physical appearance, how is that bodyshaming?
It almost seems like you are trying to find a reason to be offended, since those are just playful expressions that do no harm to anyone...

for one, these terms you bring up are not used as personal shaming. "the trees fat shamed me" is speaking of a spot that you should have been able to go through visually but you couldn't is talking about things in game not the idea that the player was fat shamed. the small pp/big pp comments is the same as "are you compensating for something?" people use these terms not to talk about a person's body but the manner in which a person comports themselves OR only in game terms.
