Devs are you listening for the UI or not?
Q & A: 27:30 " I'll promise you we are listening" (about the UI changes and other things)
Before a little bit, NotQueen said that "we will look specifically at the new UI feedback (everywhere)"
Now here 2 are the cases : either you don't listen or don't care about players think about the new UI
Proof?
1:
2: The biggest proof, over 300 votes in a single poll, 89% hate the new UI
3: 200+ votes, 92% don't like it
4: and here the percentages of different things are coherent as well
If the new UI will be exactly the same one of the PTB with no changes, no, the majority did not want it. At least not on the forums.
The colorblind support won't change how it feels to play in game, how big it is, etc
I'm surprised how you think these really good ideas like this new Object of Obsession concept (imo) and then you come out with this UI than not 50%, not 75%, but 90% of the people don't like.
Because to come here in the dbd forums, sing up, and specifically vote about how the new UI feels through all the categories I bet my balls that you have to be a bit engaged with the game, you're not just a player that plays dbd once every decade and doesn't even know what pallet looping is.
You know why you're here and care about the game (everyone in his personal way of course), so if you devs care about the votes of who has played the game a bit more than newbies, these are the valid stats.

We gave a ton of feedback, unless they are going to release a refined/polished version within the next 2 major updates they completely ignored us.
honestly it shouldn't require that much time it should be done in the next chapter, UI's are basically just pictures with a set size, placement, and it can change based on a in game value. since all they need to do is change its size and placement this shouldn't take long at all, the only thing that could take a long time is redoing the survivor portraits since that also had a lot of negative feedback.

They should've pushed back the release of the new UI and made adjustments based on feedback. It's not something that is necessary to push out the way it is. It's not like delaying a DLC which would delay the income for that period. I'm not surprised they're forcing the new UI onto the live version, but I am disappointed.

I'm hoping the ui gets some adjustments in the next chapter

There's always the chance for it to be changed before the mid chapter patch, but it's not gonna happen, not in a week, and because they didn't mention anything about any improvements of it apart colorblind

Btw this was probably one of the best Q&A they did in a while, tons of good questions answered, but this new UI is not well seen by the informed part of the community

Chill out, they said that they will be looking into improving the new UI after the mid-chapter update
Jesus, bhvr is not your slave

I'm doubtful they'll make any changes after live release. The "wait and see what other platforms say" is just a way to avoid making changes. It's another "passing it on to the team" or "we're looking into it" response. Next it will be "we want to give it more time because people don't like change." 😂

Never treated them as slaves, I respect them, but if I have a really big critic I say it.
You've got a point, but I'll still keep this post, because if the UI will always be as it is now, then no they wouldn't have listened to us

TO be fair, they DID listen, they are actively choosing to ignore the feedback given however.
Their reasoning is that they want console players input first....but I don't get why that means PC players, who have made it clear they dislike it, are being forced into it as well.
The new UI is actually bad enough that I may take a break from the game when it goes live- I literally was not able to play properly with it, I cannot see who is injured, who is my obsession, etc....

I've changed the title to be more fair in general, after the nerf proposal of nerfing ds and object we can't deny they listen, but geez why this UI?

I'm a console player, the UI doesn't require playing to see what's wrong with it. It's not like a character or perk to see how it fits my play style. As a console player I'd much rather they adjust with the current feedback they have instead of having it forced on me.

In the Q&A it sounded like they're kinda stuck with the new UI for now for some reason, even though they know majority of people don't like it. However they did say that after the release they're gonna keep looking at feedback about it from everybody (they meant all platforms) so they might change it in the future.

Because they ARE stuck with it. Clown's rework is tied to the new UI. Don't know if you noticed, but they moved almost everything out of the bottom left so they can have a fancy gas effect. The gas has the color of whatever bottle clown has equipped.
Possibly the least efficient way they could have gone about doing that. Style over substance as usual.

They said why they needed to change the UI when they opened the PTB
They are apparently changing it because there will be future functionalities that will need to be added, or that will need to work in a different way
In the very same Q&A they even explained that usually they address the PTB concern in the patch that comes right after the update, and that they will try to address some concerns about the HUD in that

YES, omg, I did notice that, it's so dumb. Almost makes me think that clown is the only reason they moved everything from the bottom left corner. Oh and btw don't get me wrong, I don't like the new UI, I'm one of the people mentioned above who made polls about it.
