Explain to me how every Killer can effectively use BBQ and Chili
I'm getting sick of nerf BBQ people all they say is killer clutch. A perk with 4 counters. I'm sick of people not going into further depth on why they say it is OP. So all you baby survivors who can't do the four easy counters to a perk. Explain to me how every Killer can effectively use the Aura reading don't say anything that includes every killer. Becausese every killer is different don't treat them the same. So go ahead explain why BBQ is apparently OP and super oppressive on every killer. Saw a Nerf BBQ supporter say it's good on Trapper so someone surprise me.

It gives every killer tons of BP so you can buy tons of OP addons to slaughter survivors with.
Any questions?

Well gotta go nerf some survivor pudding quick.
7 -
it's also just an info perk like just get better at using it's counters and at lasting long in a chase.
however every killer can use the perk, i would say the worst to use it on would be Hag and spirit because as hag you want to quickly trap the hook and that takes away the time you can get info from bbq and spirit a tiny bit since she can't see auras while phasing but you can still use the info just fine on them if you prioritize it.

I need an explanation WHY bbq & chili needs a nerf?? If they don’t, then they’re baiting &/or trolling.
2 -
I see nothing but facts here. "Nerf BBQ" posts are so cringey and their points don't make sense. I remember one time on Otz's stream, someone had the guts to say "So BBQ is fine but Object isn't" sarcastically of course. It amazes me how survivors want everything on the killer side to be nerfed to the ground. Current Object (I'm so glad it's getting changed) has many issues because the killers can't really counter it except tunneling the guy to death, while as you said, BBQ has plenty of counterplay. Also, BBQ encourages non-camping so is there anything that'll satisfy survivors?
4 -
does that alone justify a nerf?? Name me add ons that are OP as & aren’t infinite t3 Myers, tombstone Myers, & iri hatchets. I will also bring up we’re going to live forever that gives you a decent amount of blood points.

You can't unless survivors refuse to counter it.

I think she was joking

The real reason comes out.

Step 1: Hook.
2 -
Very few scenarios where it would be bad for a killer to have. At worst its decent but almost always useful

oof if she was. The joke flew right over me :3

Most Survivors don't appreciate Barbecue & Chili like they should; they should be grateful it exists. Allow me to explain, this Perk exists to reduce camping. That is the long and the short of it. They give the bonus BP to increase the probability that MORE Killers will take it. In short, most Killers camp because they have no place to go. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. Barbecue & Chili gives them a place to go, more specifically it gives them a place to go that is FURTHER away. The Perk gives the Killer a BP bonus and an incentive to leave the hook. The Perk purposely doesn't show the aura of anyone close, so that the Killer doesn't stick around. Thus, Barbeque & Chili is the biggest helping hand to Survivors one could wish for. If it didn't exist in its current form, rescues would be a lot harder.

BBQ is fine and everyone with half a brain cell knows it so don't worry about it.
I just watched a friend streaming his match; and BBQ gave away their locations and they never tried to play around it at all so they called him a hacker- most people that have a problem with BBQ are very new or inexperienced players.

The answer is that you can't say every killer can use BBQ effectively. However, you can say every killer gets some use out of BBQ.

I legit feel hampered by having it, but need the bp.
Seriously it feels like taking off weighted clothing the moment I can stop wasting a perk slot for bp and can use better tracking perks.
Spies in the shadows has singlehandedly won me more games than bbq has even slightly contributed beyond bp.

I have gotten lot's of BPs from this perk, and spent it mostly on my survivors. BBQ = OP survivor building perk.

I agree. Spies from the Shadows is a very underrated Perk. I was in a game a week or so ago and destroyed the Survivors using it. At the end one of them said, "Spies from the Shadows... really?" To me it seemed like a silly question considering what had just happened to them. Unlike Barbecue & Chili, this Perk is constantly giving you audible notifications and a direction to go. Even when the Survivors are taking the time and trouble (or Perks) to not disturb the birds, it means you have indirectly slowed some of them down. The damn crows are everywhere, and making sure you don't disturb them is much easier said than done.
And Calm Spirit is also, in my opinion, a very underrated Perk.

Technically the campy area control Killers like Hag and Trapper don't really need BBQ at all. And the best Killers for BBQ are Spirit, Nurse, Freddy, Blight and maybe Legion because of their mobility.
People just throw it on universally for bloodpoints. I would easily use a perk like Thrilling Tremors or Discordance instead of BBQ if it had the bloodpoint gains

BBQ is -by design- one of the healthiest perks in the game.
People who want BBQ nerfed need to understand:
BBQ promotes a healthy playstyle by providing information the killer can use to get into the next chase after hooking a survivor making it an anti-camp perk.
The bloodpoint stack for each survivor bonus further motivates the killer to find and hook each survivor rather than focusing on a single survivor from the start of the match making it somewhat anti tunnel as well.
I wish more perks were as healthy as BBQ.

I really don't understand why survivors complain about it. Maybe way way back in the day when lockers didn't counter it and there wasn't so many ways to hide your aura, sure. But in the current world, for the most part, it's use is to find someone far away (sometimes) and get some bonus BP. Thrilling Tremors is actually a superior version in every way and would be used far more often if BBQ didn't give the bonus bloddpoints.

If BBQ didn't give extra BP i would use thrilling tremors all the time instead. Yes it's really strong for the extra BP, but it's a grind strong, not an ingame strong. If there wasn't something like BBQ to give extra points i would grind in survivor instead, and many other killers would wich would mean longer queues.

Finally your time to shine

I'd say its multiple benefits, combined, are too strong, to the point where it's honestly a shock to have a match with a Killer who isn't using it. The survivor-side perk that gives the extra bloodpoints isn't as simple to activate, requiring the player to always be running around near the Killer in an attempt to activate the perk as opposed to working on the primary goal of the survivors. Remove the bloodpoint boost on BBQ and leave the aura reveal. Create a different bloodpoint perk for Killers that requires a similar amount of work/risk to activate.

Depends on the killer. A Nurse could only bring BBQ and Infectious and demolish your team. For killers that don't have mobility it's just some nice info, but mostly for BP. Thrilling is a much better choice if BBQ didn't have the BP multiplier.
1 -
Okay now explain how every killer can use it effectively since we can't say Stridor is OP because it's only good on Spirit. And what two effects are too much when only one helps in game. And if WGLF doesn't do enough then buff it not nerf BBQ.

I don't hate bbq but I want to take a stab at this just to see if I can
Trapper, gets information on far away gens to prepare a 3 gen with traps
Wraith can use it to gain information on survivors so he can approach from an angle using his stealth to his advantage
Hillbilly can charge across the map in seconds to reach their postion and use the information
Nurse can blink that 40 meter range with addons and hit people right on the edge of bbq
Huntress can yeet some sick hatchets
Myers can snowball while getting hooks
Hag can use mint rag to tp across the map to survivors with bbq information and disrupt them or prep a 3 gen
Doctor can gauge whether or not to use his shock to find nearby people
Bubba can see if people are far away for a more disruptive facecamp
Freddy Gen teleport
Pig see what gens are being worked on so you can gauge when to use traps
Clown gets information on whether he has to go save a gen or has time to reload
Spirit can phase to them at high speeds and faster with addons
Legion can find a survivor to chain frenzy off of
Plauge can see if there is a fountain on the way to create good opportunities to snowball with her power
Ghostface is a ditto of wraith
Demo can use portals
Oni can use his smash attack
Deathslinger can use it to see their position and start planning ahead for sneak attacks and long distance shots as he approaches
Phead can use it to see where caged people are and can send them away before they are saved to waste more of the survivors time
Blight goes fast
Twins can get an easy injure or down with the 150% victor speed

Nerf the double bloodpoint event while we’re at it.

I don't think it's outright oppressive but I think the aura reading is very strong across all killers.
All killers: A guiding hand which gen to check after hooking someone.
For killer specific interactions:
Billy: BBQ N' Billy. Hook, chainsaw over to next survivor to keep momentum up.
Doctor: Sadly his electrodes got nerfed but Railgun Doctor (Interview Tape + green electrode) was excellent with BBQ since you could literally zap peoples auras across the map.
Freddy: BBQ and Pop is a good combo on Freddy since you can hook a survivor, teleport to a generator being worked on to scare the survivor off, and kick the generator with pop.
Spirit: Similar to Billy. Keeps momentum up.
Nurse: Similar to Billy.
Pig: Can show which box a survivor might be headed towards, although this is a niche thing.
I don't think BBQ needs a nerf but maybe the BP bonus from BBQ (and WGLF) should be base-kit, making BBQ solely the aura reading and reducing grind.
