What's w/ all the "Food" on maps?

Have any of you noticed the "food" references in the game?

To my knowledge (I may be wrong), first there was "Cheese"


Now...I am seeing "Hot Dog" or "Sausage."


While playing stealthy, I realize there is a cargo container in the dead of Badham referencing "Shrimp."


Did I miss a connection, purpose, hint, or possible lore here? Lol

    the entity is a shrimp who eats sausage and cheese confirmed

    They are just hinting towards the Wurst-Käse scenario.

    No personally I think the entity just tortures survivors with food porn. I mean they probably never eat within it's realm.

    Not sure of the story behind the cheese.

    The sausage is in reference to a Twitch Streamer by the name of BroBQ. I believe it was one of his emotes. It's the same sausage on Jake's BroBQ jacket from the Charity Case.

    The shrimp, from what i've heard, is nothing more than a Dev liking shrimp.

    Didn't one of the designers have a cheese as their icon during a decent stream a few months ago?
