WE ARE DISCUSSING THE CHANGE YOU THINK WOULD BE FAIR AND BALANCED TO MAKE FOR AN ANTI-TUNNELING PERK
The change devs shoved is q&a was pretty good. The only things I'd change is disable ds when 2 or less survivors are left in a trial or when survivor interacts with gate switches. Ds disabled when you are fully healed or when you are interacting with dying survivor. It should not be disabled when cleansing dull totems while you are not affected by hex effects and it should not be disabled when healing others or yourself until you performed healing action equivalent to 1 full health state on yourself or a teammate. This will make life easier for solo q, since people might not want to heal you if they have ds.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

I'd say if the changes prove too harsh we can loosen them later or buff DS in some other meaningfull way. For now, I want to play with it and againt it to actually see how much different it is.

Honestly let decisive strike activate twice so even if you use it or miss it if you get tunnel again after being hooked you could use it and pause it in chases.
This should basically make it fair for killers and survivors.
It becomes fully anti tunnel however you can't progress the objectives and still keep it at the same time.
It also means if a survivor is being hardcore tunneled if they can outrun the killer for longer than a minute they don't have to worry about losing the decisive.
I'd say keep slugging the same as you could still use it as a pressure tool but with the two other things mentioned above the perk should be overall more healthy for both sides

Yea, as a solo survivor I'm also worried about them being useless for a full minute and them not wanting to heal me.
Seems like we'll be seeing a lot more self care in games, just what we really needed....

It's sad but that's the problem with solo survivor
You can never control just how bad your teammates are going to be. This is why I've always considered actually buffing solo survivor to be next to impossible even with something like base kindred there no guarantee that people are actually going to come and save you.

I'd pause it on down only. The only problem with pausing it in chase is survivors can use it to run around the killer with flash lights, keys, wait for pallet saves, use Sabo, SWF monitoring, etc.

Yea but I feel like this change is just going to screw solos who dont use DS actually myself.
Going to be denied a heal when you're on last hook because your team mate who is going to be useless for 1 minute doesn't want to lose DS isn't going to be fun, at all

Should not even be paused when downed. The things I could do to a killer if that was the case.. and the things as a killer that is worse for the game. Timer should run out no matter what is happening.

Then that survivor is not working on generators. They would have to initiate the chase to pause the timer anyway so what's there following me around there being absolutely useless.
Then all you would have to do with slug them congratulations they basically wasted their own time I'm and lost decisive strike whilst making no progression towards generators

I don't think self care is going to matter because by description it appears that if you self care it's gone too. We don't know yet but I could see that being a thing. It says Healing which would include yourself.

I didn't mean the DS user using self care, I meant people who dont have DS

Also having a DS discussion can be kind of hard. in some situations people think that if you say the change is okay that you're an entitled killer main that can't play the game worth anything.

oh yeah okay, that makes sense because the DS people won't want to heal you.
Even as a survivor player who also plays killer I understand this. If I think I have time to heal you I'm not being tunneled by a killer so DS deactivation is my own fault.
