5 Biggest Mistakes You Make as a Killer
Hey, DBD players. I decided to make a list of 5 biggest mistakes you make as a killer. The whole video with explanation is right there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ8jUYo2g6A
But if you don't want to watch, then these are the mistakes:
1. Continuously chasing good survivors on dangerous loops
2. Not relying on perks and your power
3. Not breaking pallets
4. Not thinking 1 step ahead of a survivor
5. Listening to music
I see many players making these mistakes, especially killers who don't use their perks and power properly.
By the way, I will make a survivor edition tomorrow, so check my Youtube channel :)
What do you think?

6. not always running a Sacrificial Ward
seriously, the amount of times i have been send to the Disturbed Ward today is not funny ._.
okay, for real though:
the first one is definitely one i see a lot of players do. Its a lot better to spread out the damage than focussing down a single individual.
the second one really just applies to bad killers, as anyone who has some experience with their character / the game overall will be able to use their killers power / their perks a lot more effectively than others.
the third goes both ways. sometimes not breaking the pallet is the right decision, however never breaking them is generally a bad idea.
the fourth one, again, is just a problem of experience. its not really a mistake, its just a lack of knowledge. much like the second point, it'll come with some time.
and the last one i think only really applies to players who arent taking the game serious to begin with. lets be honest, if you care about winning, you wont be blasting music in your ears while playing a role that is super reliant on audio cues...

1. Backthen when I was a nice killer. i double hook each then let them escape.
What I got was "ez noob killer"
2. I stand infront of a hook, pretend to hook the last survivor, but I drop them, cause a stun. The survivor eacape through hatch nearby (which is my purpose)
"Ezzzz"

Playing Killer in general is just frustrating most of the time. Either I get mostly bad Survivors or I'm the biggest idiot on the planet against godlike Survivors.

THIS!!
9. playing fair and think that survivors will appreciate it.
A Surv dont care if a killer plays "fair" ... Example : If i have tow guys in the Basement, then the Check is my House. it this nice for the Servs, NO!
Is it "Fair" Yes, iam the Killer

I remember I was playing as Hag. I did put traps under hook, because why not. But when I teleported back, I always chased guy that wasn't on hook. Hag is almost always easy win, so I expectedly destroyed them and I was ready for ######### talk about me playing most unfair killer in the game. But I was surprised that survivors appreciate my fair play at endgame chat. They even leave +reps in my profile comments.
I mean. You right, that you shouldn't expect survivors appreciate your fair play. But sometimes they actually do appreciate how you play.

my list:
- not using my perks efficiently or not using them at all
- trying to mindgame save pallets and loops (it works against noobs but is a waste of time against good ones)
- playing "fair" and lose because "everyone wants a good time"
- chasing that god looper again who wants my attention
- getting salty in chat because i lost on a totally survivor sided map with a low tier killer and then 4 survivors are like "lol gg ez git gud"
- getting Dead Harded (not playing around survivor perks)

Listening to music? Are we talking about survivor mains playing killer for dailies here?

1. Trying out a killer before level him up past 20.
- i tried this with nurse and it was not a good time as a level 3 nurse on console.
2. Not slugging one of the last 2 survivors so that the last one doesn't get hatch
- I've had a lot of games where survivors got no gens done so I assume they don't get an open hatch but I forget that it doesnt work that way anymore (I took a break from dbd for a couple years)
3. Start searching for a game before A. I actually pick the killer I wanted or B. I look at my killers perks which most are old out of date builds
- I've had a lot of games where I accidentally get locked into a level 1-5 killer or I use a level 50 killer with perks that just aren't that good now or i had a weird build I never changed
4. Losing slugged survivors
- those SOBS crawling and just bleeding out or escape still
5. Forgetting to look away from flashlights like an idiot
- this has only happened twice but I have forgotten i can look away and I dont have to just take being blinded.

I can't think a step ahead of survivors. I'm always reacting rather than acting. Game doesn't really teach you to do that, and I played killer a long time before discovering streamers.

Also if you chase a survivor by a gen being worked on but it’s almost done and you don’t chase the survivors off of it then you are dumb

Probably the biggest mistakes I see are chasing for too long and not knowing when to slug.

Learn to drop a chase if you're not getting anything out of it.
Use perks that suit your playstyle more than what is 'meta' imo.
Play by your own rules, you're the killer, your job is to kill. If you get gen rushed early, look for a solid 3 gen if possible, play more defensively tunnel or camp if need be, survivors play dirty all the time, why not you?
If you do great you'll get 'omg , tunneller, camper etc', if you do badly you'll be 'gg ez, baby killer #########', so pick your poison.
Turn off that aftergame chat and keep practicing, you will only get better with time.
