This game should have spoken voice acting
There are only three real reasons I can think of for DBD to not have voice acting and all of them are weak.
1- They don't want the characters to have to be recorded in multiple languages because its expensive and time consuming.
ANSWER- The characters speak their native language based on where they live in their lore regardless of what language version you are playing.
2- The existing voice actors might not fit the Devs vision if they had to talk and rerecording every character would be difficult. Especially if they want to go down the native languages route.
ANSWER- Use different actors for the speaking lines. In movies, it's been possible to have different singing and speaking voices for characters, so why not different sound effect and speaking voices in a video game?
3- It wouldn't necessarily make the game money and it would cost time and resources to add in additional voice acting.
ANSWER- The new MMR and HUD systems probably cost a ton of time and resources and weren't even received well. Voice acting shouldn't be a lower priority than wasting time on changes people don't even like.

I want more interactions like the 2 survivors have for funsies.
I want the option to head pat killers.
The idea of mixing voice lines into the mix has always interested me as well but I don't think it will ever happen unfortunately. It's mostly #2 is why. It doesn't match the devs vision at all and so they do not want it, so it is unlikely to ever happen.

As much as I would love VA in this game (á la Resident Evil Resistance or Left 4 Dead), I've accepted that it's not something BHVR should put effort into yet. There's so much more in this game that needs fixing before they can add flavor with voice-acting.

If they can make that god forsaken HUD that actively makes the game worse to play, they can do voice acting.

Where would it be used? In game? spammable? That could take toxicity to the next lvl

Nah, we have Ashley. Thats already too much.

Voice Acting sounds nice on paper, but if you have a few hours, you would just get annoyed by it. I would not play this game if my Character would speak the same 3 lines over and over again.

I'm thinking in-game voice acting for events like saves, pallet stuns, heals, downs, carrying, moris or even just random lore interactions between survivors (obviously not heard by the other side).

While I’m not 100% on this idea one of the reasons I loved apex and overwatch so much was the interactions between characters.
Would love to see voice acting for Quentin as I’m sure Kyle would come back

In the game itself I don't see it as a necessary thing to add. I just want voice actors for the rift lore videos instead of the "ohhh ahhh grrr wah wah" that's in them now.

I've played Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor 2. VA is fun at the beginning, but than it gets really annoying.

There could be a option on the pause menu to mute it if it becomes an issue
