We want to ask the design team for an explanation as to why they think the new HUD is good.
Yes, this is another negative feedback about the new HUD
I felt nauseous after the first match on PTB, after that I deleted it.
Today I've played one match for the Doctor and I've also felt dizzy because of the need to look in different directions. After that I quit the game.
Perhaps I will enter the game only for the code rewards.
I really want to know how the design team decided this interface was better than the old one. Future new features? The old HUD had more space to install them. Do the design team play DBD more than 15 minutes? This is really interesting.
Okay, some players love the UI. Well, add the ability to play with the old HUD. Please.
(Sorry for bad English)

I wish they just fixed the existing bugs and left the few things that people had no problem with, I appreciate the old HUD and survivor movement now..

You're fine.
I agree, the devs that worked on the UI are apparently chameleons

Thanks!
I notice that the status of the injured survivor is better visible than from the PTB. But this is the only positive change.

I really would love an answer but I highly doubt we're going to get one. I'm so tired of them changing stuff that don't need to be changed

The answer is that they made it modular so it's easier to make changes and add stuff to the UI. As for why they did everything else with placement to the UI we can only guess.

I hope community managers say something after the massive negative feedback.
3 -
I doubt it

They could have made the old one modular too or at least leave the things in their old position, the top left corner is an awful position suited only for information that doesnt require checking on a regular basis, there is a reason most FPS and RTS put the really important info at the bottom of the screen.

Mobile UIs are big now. Simple UIs are out.

I'll never understand this feeling sick or exhausted from looking all over the screen. Such kiddos.
But they said the new UI will freshen things up as well as give them ability to add new stuff in the future

I want to know too.
This design should never have made it through the concept phase.
@blue4zion Really? "I don't understand other people so I'm going to downplay their criticisms"

Kiddos? I'm 34 years old. I guess I'm just too old for such new products! That's why my eyes got tired so quickly :D You made me laugh, thanks :)

Yeah,lol
I'm 21,i guess i'm too old as well

to people like that, it doesn’t matter that 99.99% of the players hate this UI (for whatever reason each individual has). Blue will pick out a persons individual reason and say something contrary to it. Just ignore these folks, they really add nothing to any conversation.

Oh god,DbD really is slowly transitioning into a cheap mobile game isn't it?
-Predatory mechanics (Battlepass)
-An insane amount of microtransactions
-Login rewards (advent calendar "event")
-Spread out UI

Got me feeling old and I'm only 20. Feels like I could tell stories on DBD to the younger generation xD
3 -
Hopefully not. DBD has so much potential to strive but the way it's headed now probably will be

Thanks for the advice! You're right ... It just made me laugh on this sad evening.
Even people who like the new UI tend to criticize it for some elements.

Most of the crazy balancing decisions that the devs have made haven't made me drop the game simply because of how long I've been with it, adding something like breakable walls is just an annoyance and doesn't prevent me from enjoying the game. The new HUD however completely killed this game for me, I hated the UI when it was revealed and myself and many others have brought our concerns weeks in advance to this mid-chapter, there is no excuse as to why they could not hold back the hud changes or tweak them to a playable state. I personally will not be playing or supporting the game at all during this time until it is fixed. These developers have made some of the weirdest decisions regarding their game over the years, but none of them have been as baffling to me as to how these devs can receive such an overwhelming amount of negative feedback from both sides regarding a change and then still push it through to live servers.

And... this is very bad joke
