Wraith buff early impressions- did it matter?

I don't honestly know- even in purple, 90%+ people don't see me until I'm on top of them anyway (or they run Spine Chill, and are gone regardless of how invisible I am).

I know this is a subtle buff (we really, really needed yellow or green windstorm at base instead), but has anyone noticed a difference?

    To put it simply yes

The complete distance invisibility is awesome with it you can sneak up on survivors easier and against survivors in the open they don't run as soon as you approach from 30 meters away. This allows wraith to get the first hit easier against survivors in the open when they could have simply watched him and went to a loop when wraith approached.

The second one is also awesome a good wraith on certain loops would use his power speed boost kinda like clown but opposite which means small loops were almost free hits, now the range of loops as expanded and at loops were he did land hits they are now basically guaranteed plus this is just good for any hits out of cloaks.

I haven't even played him yet and I know that it's a great change. Not being able to see him at distances is huge, a lot of maps that used to hurt Wraith will work great now.

The .25s longer speedboost is nice, but honestly I would have preferred base yellow Windstorm. But the devs seem to be completely against this idea for some reason.

I think the invisibility does help, I have noticed that survivors don't notice me as much, though the good ones still notice me FAR in advance to get close enough to land an easy hit. I think that's fine, that's working as intended. The problem before was that on certain maps survivors could literally see where he was at all times (which essentially eliminates any benefit from his cloak) as mentioned above.

The 0.25sec speed boost is nice, however, I have played a few matches now and noticed that something is rather buggy.

For example, I will sometimes teleport infront of the survivor when I lunge at them out of cloak, and quite literally I will be in front of them almost as if I teleported THRU them somehow, but they won't take any damage at all, and all the sudden they will be behind me.

This happened a few times in just a couple of matches, and also I noticed that one time I got CLEARLY landed a lunge attack on a survivor at a pallet, and I ended up legit on the other side of the pallet where the survivor was after my lunge, but I still got stunned by the pallet and the survivor did not take any damage... and we were literally standing on the same side together looking at each other. Then while I was stunned the survivor vaulted back over the pallet that they just dropped on me and escaped lol.

It was rather strange. And though I have read on the forums people complaining about survivor hit boxes being larger, but I actually have to completely disagree - maybe they need to try playing as killer, because either it is completely bugged for killer, or Wraith, but I am genuinely having a harder time hitting survivors than before even when they are directly in front of me, which was usually not a problem, at least not like this, before the patch for me. It is a noticeable difference and I am missing WAY more swings (I rarely missed to begin with) than I used to, so something just doesn't feel right.

I will add that I have only played Wraith so far, testing his new kit. And before I played Wraith I played 10 matches as Survivor, and I'm not sure if I noticed any hitbox issues as Survivor but what I did notice is that the new animations were glitchy and I kept teleporting in different directions as playing.. my character did not look fluid at all. Almost like as if I was having connection issues, but I wasn't.

This makes me believe that possibly the Survivor animations are actually teleporting out of my lunges somehow and I am missing attacks that should have connected successfully, but if that is the case, then I completely do not understand why survivors are saying the opposite is happening to them. *Shrugs*

I wouldn't say "great" but it's good, yes, and it helps you get to a corner without getting seen, so it's harder for them to react to you.

the .25s is also nice, and I completely agree with you, but let's be a bit more patient, as Wraith/Trapper might have their passes one day, and that might get changed

It's a map thing. Now Wraith on Blood Lodge or Ormond is actually kind of scary to go against.

Wraith already got his pass, quite some time ago :p

And I think he's the killer that's received the most amount of incremental changes overtime, snuck into tons of patches... just never increased cloaked speed which is such an important one.

But you're right - more patience is required. Maybe one day.

    I honestly didn't notice.

Versed two wraiths today didn't really see a difference. But I guess that's exactly what the buff was supposed to do.
