What’s the point of the PTB?
I thought the point of the PTB was supposed to give the devs feedback on changes and if the players don’t like the change they don’t implement it. Literally everyone has stated how they don’t like the new UI when the PTB released and they still went through with it. What’s the point of the PTB if they don’t take feedback into consideration?

The point of the PTB isn't always to change things that people don't like. It's also for catching bugs and other miscellaneous things.

I mean they did get rid of some bugs. This mid-chapter patch was so big i'm honestly fine with them either not having enough time or not catching every bug out there. The amount of content we got for a patch is pretty massive.

The point of the ptb is to find bugs.

there is a reason I dont bother playing the PTB anymore (and yes having to download it and then re-download the entire game does not help either)

I mean, they explained it during the last Q&A. Having the PTB doesn't always let them fix everything they need to before release due to the process of patching the consoles. However what it does do is let them get a jump start on the hotfix patch that almost always shows up a few days later.
Without the PTB, the Hotfix might very well end up taking a week or more to show up.

though that is the point of the ptb as you stated, it is not used that way. the twins were in a bad state they were told of all the bugs. guess what.... they released them with even more bugs than were found in the ptb. this midchapter patch, there were issues found and not addressed by the devs before release, and a almost 100% negative response from ptb users testing it out, even their fog whisperers said it wasn't all that good, and they didn't do anything about it. They said let's let the consoles chime in on this so they released it but what they didn't say is the backbone of the UI system no longer can support the old ui/hud and blamo it's here to stay... and I'm sidelined from playing the game. why you ask? because I am given headaches and large amounts of eye strain because of it. great I feel so valued that they decided to put something out that can't be reverted because they changed the things and now I am forced to see something I have sunk about 100 bucks or more into gather dust. GREAT way to make players feel valued.
