Someone explain rift pass to me and is it worth it?

Alright so I just got back into dbd and stopped before 2 years ago so way before rifts. I dont understand what a rift pass is exactly and if its worth it for someone who plays a few games most days. I would like to get good value out of it but hope it's not crazy grindy. Thanks in advance. I couldn't find any clear answers really

It's just another way of prying money out of you.

I never buy them, but I always read people saying it's really grindy.

the rift pass is premium track, it has different things on it and you get both levels when you unlock rift levels.

the premium track contains free auric cells too. and the farther you get along the rift the less you'll get on the free track. It's worth it if you want the outfits on it. if you don't care it's not.

It's really grindy. Unless you play the survivors or killers that get skins with it it's likely not worth the money or time.

You get some auric cells back progressing the paid rift, but not many. I don't have the numbers for you.

Guy above is correct: It is much too grindy to be worth spending money on. Just another cash grab.

Also, the "exclusive" skins from this rift are available for purchase after 6 months.

$10 for a buncha outfits. This rift some are ugly but there’s some exclusive outfits if you like that. If you finish you get your $10 back but it’s very Grindy

Its really grindy, but you have no slower progress when you dont buy it.

So play this season and when you see at the end that you have completed it, you can still buy it and get everything.

The rift is sort of just a battle pass system, there's a free track with a few mediocre skins and a premium track with marginally better skins.

If you really want the items on it, I'd recommend grinding out the free track and then purchasing the premium track, since the progress is shared between both tracks and there's no exp bonus for buying the pass.

Personally, I've found it way too grindy for my tastes, I'd rather just pay upfront for skins.

Every time you finish a match you get a small amount of Rift Exp, or if you finish a challenge in the rift and claim it that adds to your progress. If you play over 40 hours of Dead by Daylight a month then the rift might be finishable but if if you're playing like...five hours a week I wouldn't give it a second glance. It ain't happening.

If you complete the rift you get back your auric cells you used to open the premium track. I would recommend waiting until you're close to the end before buying the premium rift that way if you don't come close to completing it you don't lose out on auric cells.

if you play too much DBD, you get the entire 1k shards back if you finish the rift before it closes plus every prime prize, I only bought the rift on the 1st rift and keep renewing it with the shards that I get back from the old rift.

I'd personally wait to see how far you get into it to know if you'd want to use your money on it. If you only get like 30 tiers out of it, don't bother. If you get 68-70 tiers out of it then it's more worth it.
