Disconnecting to derank
Firstly I do not condone Ragequitting. But the Red Rank Q times for killer are a pain right now. I want to lower my rank to get a better chance of finding games quicker, and I have been AFking but only losing 1 Pip a game, coupled with 20 mins to get into the game, means my only option is D/Cing so I lose 2 pips a time.
My only question, has anyone done this, I know BHVR is being much harsher with bans for D/Cing and more recently I have heard they are being stricter than just the 80% rule they talked about. And even if it is 80% is that total games, or in a short period. (So say D/Cing 10 games in a row, might only be 0.000001% of total games, but 80% for that day.)
Any help?

The fogstreamer jendenise deranks by DCing regularly and she hasnt been banned so far.
I suggest you derank your first games by DCing and then when the queue time somehow gets acceptable, you continue to derank by afking. Just watch a movie or play sth else while you derank and time will fly by very fast. Just make sure that next time, you dont even get into the "red zone"
I am not sure how that DC rate is calculated, but I would assume that it is based upon the number of games per week/month.
Oh and another advice, if you have freddy, he is the most efficient way to derank because survivors dont tbagg in front of you to farm chase points.

Cheating is bad no matter how you slice itWhat is cheating, I don't want to be up against potato survivors. But what choice do I have at this point. It was either this or just keep playing survivor.

Cheating is bad no matter how you slice itYou dont need any third party programs to derank.
Oh and btw, the devs even endorse the idea of deranking1 -

Well I’m new here so I don’t much about the game to be honest but in any game I’ve been on with a ranking system, deranking to gain competitive advantage was always bannable, is this not the case here ?
I'm not doing it for an advantage, im doing it because of the wait times right now, because the event caused all survivors to turn into idiots who go back to R15.
Beside, rank resets so often that it hardly means anything. A deranked killer at R15 will get matched with a team of R1s with a R20 friend to mess with the matchmaking anyway, so everyones still playing against the same people.

The wait times on killer are horrible at any rank. People that DRank on Survivor or Killer do it for easier games and is a form of cheating because you are abusing the system to get a easy matchup. People just use the current killer lobby issues as their reason to do it but they more than likely were doing it for months before that. I am sure there are people just DRanking just for this event which makes sense in a way but the majority do it every season.
