Undefeatable Streamers?
Why i created this topic? There is a streamer, called Hexy. He is a big one, so you won't miss. His favorite build is BBQ, Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer and he literally can't lose a single game. I can't see anything extraordinary in his gameplay, apart of his aggressive playstyle from the start of any game. But he literally can't lose a single game. He doesn't even play strong killers like Nurse or Spirit.
People say that this game is survivor sided, but this one says otherwise, so i don't know what to think. Can it be that he is just that good at this game. Or survivors he face are all trash. Maybe its just an american region that is full of casual console survivors that don't know how to play this game. All games are way too easy for him. Most survivor teams can't repair more than 2 generators.
Enlight me please! Am i missing something?

He's probably just really good at the game. Most large streamers have several thousand hours clocked in, and as such know how to play very effectively.
I've got three and a half thousand hours logged, and I'd consider myself pretty good at the game. Skilled players can make basically anything work, including low tier Killers and Perks.

That's because he is probably very very good at the game. (I don't know who that is)
There are SWF groups with like 100+ 4 man escapes in a row for that same reason.

he's not anything special, he just plays like an #########.

Hexy is not only a good killer but a noob stomper. 99.9 percent of survivors are noobs in ALL ranks. If you are good at killer, you should be winning most games. The game is only survivor sided when you're playing with the top 1% of the playerbase.

All big streamers rarely lose, whether they play killer or survivor in a group. Even solo survivor they tend to do well if it's a normal match.
People who play the game a lot tend to get good while the majority of players are bad or at least not nearly on that same level. It's not really all that surprising.

Hexy is also really competitive, and the fact that there isn't a real matchmaker means that you have one guy that is playing to win and 4 other people that may be just playing for fun. Maybe that will change with their overhaul.
I also rarely ever see Fungoose's swf lose, but again, not all killers sweat out their games.

I think that most tryhard noobstomper killers will leave the game, if new MMR will put them against same sweaty survivor teams.

Ok so I watch Hexy a lot. He doesn't touch Undying, maybe you just tuned in and he was testing it out post-nerf. I just checked right now since I realized he's live and he's not using Undying already, sooo I'd assume you tuned in when he was testing it out.
His usual 3 are in fact Tinkerer, Ruin, and BBQ with his 4th being a filler depending on the killer he's playing as well as what he's going into the match against (for example if all 4 survivors have med-kits or toolboxes).
And yes, hes very good at killer. He's on the level of Otz, if not better. He can play pretty much every killer extremely well, he pays attention to survivors and which has DS, Unbreakable, etc. He's killed every big survivor main that is a streamer, whether its Noob3, Angrypug etc.
A lot of times, the chat likes to poke fun at the survivors he kills and he always make a point of 'he just puts out insane pressure and makes even great survivors look bad, but that doesn't mean they ARE bad'.
If you're looking to learn from anyone, I'd definitely tune into his channel. Him and Otz are very informative.

Yeah but at the same time; even Otz who's touted to be one of the best loses games every now and then. The fact that Hexy's been undefeated for over a month now; playing various killers is odd.

I could answer your question genuinely as to why but it would be deemed against ToS as anything not viewed as positive about someone could be misconstrued as "Name and Shaming".
There is a good reason though, and it's not because the game is "killer sided".
You generally to be safe can't talk about anyone by name.

We are not shaming here. Just a discussion.

That is true, but Otz is also leagues nicer than Hexy. Otz will sometimes lay off of survivors, while Hexy will straight up bleed you out or camp you till 2nd hook/death if he feels it will give him an advantage. I wouldn't say Hexy is toxic, he doesn't do it to grief people, but he won't hesitate like Otz sometimes does.
I don't really find being good at various killers to be weird. When you know the basics like possible survivor spawns, tile sets, and an inner clock, the only thing left to learn is how to use the power. And I really hope (as I'm sure everyone does) that they factor that into their new skill calculator. If you can play pig, you can play wraith, doctor, freddy, or any m1 killer to some extent. Switching in between those kinds of killers doesn't make them new.

Painting someone in a negative light could be viewed as "shaming".
Note I'm not saying it is, but simply viewed as.

Most survivors streamers go against aren't competent at all to be fair.

It's not just "streamers", anyone with thousands of hours can 4-3k consistently.
Let's be honest here, everyone who plays Killer(me included) knows that most of our matches in red ranks are against bad survivors(because of matchmaking), its very rare to get 4 Survivors who are good in one match, and when it happens it won't be so easy to win against them.
With the new MMR system that is coming, if they manage to make it work in the right way(good Survivors vs good Killer), all Killers won't be getting easy 4k in every match.

Hexy always wins because for 1, he is a good killer, and 2, most survivors are not very good. His playstyle is to chase survivors and play normally until 3 gens are left. Then he usually proxy camps, slugs, etc. There is nothing wrong with that, but that is how he plays. I know this because I watch him a lot. If he were to go vs a good coordinated competent 4 man that didn't always try to save, and pushed gens hard, he would struggle to win if he were to play a low tier killer. No shade indented by saying this, because he is my favorite DBD streamer, it's just the truth. Sometimes he gets close to losing, like earlier today on Badham, but he was able to recover and get a 3k.

They also only see one side of things.
I was just on someone's stream and they were talking about how terrible and dumb we were and their chat was praising the killer to high heaven- no one was trying to win we were just doing challenges and throwing the match for them lol.

hexy has thousands of hours in the game, of course he is good and yes he loses sometimes (ive seen it) but only decent/good teams can beat him, and most people suck at the game, and yes most killers who get decent at the game have an extraordinay win ratio, they win way more than they lose, is my case for example, i win most matches but sometimes you go agaisnt a decent/good SWF and u make 2 or 3 mistakes and you are out of the game, or get forced to camp/slug to stand a chance (wich i dont like to appeal to because is cheap but sometimes i have to in order to not lose because im kind of competitive aswell even if is not a comp game im a competitive person) even if i try not to.

Being more skilled than your opponent is vital for consistent victory. Survivors have the potential to negate every action of the killer, but having the skill to do so is another matter. Stating that his survivors are bad though doesn't speak to the strength of killer mechanics or design.

Legit question - you take the example of 1 killer player and you extrapolate that because this one killer player is good, that killer is overpowered?
One example. One. Who's good at the game. And THAT'S why killer is overpowered? That's... horrible LOL

I like the mention of doing challenges that sacrifice playing to win. When survivors do challenges to break hooks in the terror radius of the killer, for instance, they surrender emphasizing generators, and they take ridiculous chances they wouldn't normally do.
Along the same lines, though, killers get challenges to hook people in post game collapse or to play very aggressively and to camp hooks if they want to win the challenge.
Survivors get challenges to throw the game, and killers get challenges to be toxic. A lot of bad behavior in the game does stem from challenges.
As for the streamer shrugs I haven't seen him, but it sounds like his play style is the exact opposite of what I consider fun. No biggie either way.

First off, the game is not survivor-sided.
The game is skill-sided. The one who is more skilled wins. Some luck factors in but in general a person with good intuition and skills will win. It is actually easier for killer because a killer relies on nobody but himself. Whereas survivors have to rely on their teammates. That's one of the reasons why SWF is so powerful; it gives you control over your teammates (who you play with) so that you can be sure you have a strong team.
At the highest levels I am not sure who is more powerful: the god killers or the commando squads. The likely truth is that whoever played better and had some luck on their side wins. But the point is the game is not survivor-sided any more than it is killer-sided.
Now, this person you are talking about. There is no such thing as an unbeatable person. He simply has not gone up against people who are better than him. If am sure there is a team out there that is better and can beat him. He simply hasn't gone up against them yet.
But it is a fact that BBQ, Ruin, Tinker, Undying is an extremely powerful build. Those are four of the strongest perks in the entire game. No matter how much some people try to downplay and make light of these perks, they are strong perks and together they synergize and are even stronger. So it is no surprise that he can steamroll all the teams he goes against. He's using a super powerful meta build. Doesn't matter which killer you use that build is powerful.
People like to pretend that Ruin is a weak perk but it really, really isn't. If you can't get Ruin down in a minute against a competent killer you will have problems. Against a good killer player it is a death sentence 100% of the time. Undying makes it highly unlikely that you will bust the Ruin in a minute. Or even two minutes. At that point it is your loss.

Being good at all killers isn't odd.
Killers all share the same fundamentals, only one killer is exempt from this (Nurse, but even Nurse shares some fundamentals with everyone else). It just means he has good fundamentals.
The same fundamentals will carry you through any match no matter which killer you use.
Let the mods worry about modding.

?
I think you misunderstood my post.

Well BBQ Ruin Undying Tinkerer would carry a lot of killers. He probably won't do as well against a good team now with the nerf to undying.

I'd love to go up against this guy, not because I think I'll win, I'll get slaughtered. But I'll believe it when I'm sacrificed;)
Small Edit: Told him I'd like to face him on stream, and that I look forward to when that happens if it does. Apparently he does too haha.
