this game is in a bad state
Hopped on with some friends to play survivor, for the first time since the update. First UI looks like crap, too much on the screen, and it looks like a mediocre mobile version on top of that. Second Hit boxes are ridiculous. Third animations look cheap. Before graphics were mediocre, but we all looked past it due to the gameplay being super fun. Now it is the opposite, the graphics are better, but the gameplay plays like crap.
Im not going to be the player who says "Fix your game or I wont play it", but I will say in the current state, I could see the player base dying off, then in turn the game dying off slowly. I dont think this "kills" the game, but it sure as hell will put a dent in the player base. The longer this update stays out, the larger the dent.
I seen the vast majority say they hated the ptb. BHVR as always didn't listen, put out an update they wanted out regardless of feedback. Then puts out the classic statement of "We've heard you loud and clear. Our team is working to find some solutions to the feedback on the latest update, We're focusing on fixing bugs, issues with hitboxes and we are reviewing some elements of the changes in the HUD (UI) and the survivor movement."
One step forward, Two steps back.

I swear that 'One step forward, Two steps back' is written in bold across BHVR's offices at this point.
If you haven't already though, have a look at the review ratio of the game on Steam since the game came out. It's verging on being a review bomb; people are getting visibly sick of getting bad update after bad update.

I've never had a problem with the devs on any game until DbD. They make poor choices based on a few opinions, and don't listen to the player base as a whole. They are "fixing" things that don't need fixing, and its getting annoying. Like, I don't want a 15 dollar skin to be added into the game, I just want the bugs to be fixed.

I’m a relatively new player. Only been playing for little over a month. However I played so much that I seem ranked up to 4 on survivor. Ever since this update I want to quit and be done with this game. I honestly didn’t think this game could lose me so fast. If they could just fix the hit boxes first and foremost I would be happy and slowly work on everything else. I just had a clown hit me from the bottom of the stairs while I was at the top and nowhere near him.....a clown....I mean....come on. Right now I’m honesty hate playing through it cause this limited event is my first in dbd and I want to see it through. But wow, what a way to introduce new players like me to this game.

Honestly I would stomach the tunneling if it wasn’t for the fact that now it’s a guaranteed hit for the killers due to the outrageous hit boxes. Oh pyramidhead sees you a mile away? Better swing now cause it will still hit.

If a killer tunnels you then you are the easiest one to kill, learn how to run structures, utilize your last seconds DS to reset bloodlust.
