Where did all the red rank survivors go..?
I know rank reset happened a few days ago but usually there are red rank survivors the day of. I played killer and survivor all day yesterday and I may have only seen 1 other red rank survivor. As a rank 2 killer I was basically only matched with rank 9s and 10s and sometimes purples all day long. As a rank 4 survivor I have not seen a single other red rank survivor and am getting matched solely with greens and purples. What is going on? It has never been like this before and it really sucks because i'm getting constantly matched with green rank survivors. It's not much of a fair game at all if i'm only playing with people multiple colors below me.

You've probably noticed that the Unbroken emblem is... well... broken, so I assume people are having a hard time ranking up to red post reset because of it.

I think a lot of people aren't playing the game because of the new UI. Survivors in particular aren't playing because of a crappy hit boxes this update introduced.

I think as someone said, the unbroken emblem is broken. So it’s harder to stay at red ranks.

They are probably taking a break until the emblem issue and hitboxes are somewhat sorted out

My guess would be that there are very few left between Reset and the Unbroken emblem not getting any points for time survived. Seriously... the Unbroken emblem either gives you nothing or Gold solely depending on whether you get out or not.

The emblem system is dogsh*t right now & even if you deserve to pip, you'll literally end up de-pipping instead. I'm a former rank 2 - 3 now 7 because of this crap. I'm honestly considering taking a break until they fix this because I don't feel like dropping to brown ranks because of a bug.

I'm currently rank 4. So red rank survivors exist, but you basically need to constantly escape in order to pip up.

I can't get to red ranks anymore because I keep getting people using characters like huntress to abuse the busted hitboxes. You can't hide behind pallets or anything anymore for example, a hatchet will get you even if you crouch behind most objects.

Killer has the same depip problem. Any time I get to red it has to be a +2 to get a +1 and a safety is a loss. Hard to play like this.

I've had multiple matches where I should've pipped but instead drop 2 pips. I went from red to purple before rank reset and then to green after reset. Not playing as many matches to rank up because current UI gives me headache after a few matches so I'll then switch to a game that doesn't give me a headache.

Well we closed the game down.
Most of us are done for now, or at the very least, waiting till hitboxes and emblem system get fixed.

It's been great. I've actually been matched against survivors close to my rank. The game became fun again

I think a lot of the survivor mains are currently on strike until the hitboxes get fixed

I used to be red rank survivor, but I haven't played much survivor for months. So currently I'm a yellow rank and I stuck there apparently. Killers on this ranks can easily fall for every fake and lose you with breaking line of sight. But teammates on this ranks seem to affraid of gens more than killer.
Since I started play dbd, I never understood the reason of rank reset.

There's a few polls on the forum you can read which will give you first hand reasoning behind many high rank survivors either taking a break, or straight up uninstalling the game and throwing in the towel since the latest "update". Many upvoted comments here have covered the issues, but you can find more info on those polls as well.
Hitboxes are the main reason for most (including myself), followed by a perception the devs are no longer listening to feedback, concerns Behavior is no longer allocating sufficient resources to the game, UI, Rewarding low-skill killer strats through the tome and dailies... The list goes on really.

It’s so hard keeping your rank right now. I see survivors racing to unhook. I usually hang out around a 6 and busted my butt to get to 5. I’m lucky if I can keep the 9 I was ranked at a day ago. Sorry I don’t know all the terminology here but it’s hella hard to be a survivor now.

There was a pipping bug which probably deranked a lot of survivors. I went from Rank 3 to Rank 9 just playing normally. The more I played the more pips I lost and I went down rank really fast.

its more than just rank numbers I think matchmaking is broken. I quit playing because it was constantly rank 1-3 killers vs rank 10-20 survivors. These were genuine ranks too, rank 1 meta tryhard builds vs rank 18s that have a handful of hours on the game. Survivors were going down in seconds. I'll skip this trash for now

Yes, I feel the same way. I went from rank 3 to rank 10 as a survivor. Although I was supposed to get a pip, there was a depip.
Let's wait and see until it's fixed. Then there will surely be more red ranks again and maybe those who currently don't want to play will come back.
The "advantage" of this is that as a killer, you move up faster than ever before. 🙄

I haven't been in green ranks in years. It's actually pretty refreshing. But also frustrating. Killers fall for basic jukes that I haven't really gotten to work consistently for ages. But on the other hand your teammates are worse than the baked potatoes I made with cream cheese and bacon last New Year's.

The emblem bug. I fell to rank 6. Managed to climb back to rank 3 now. I don't think I'll manage to get back into rank 1 unless I really really try. The good news is that most of the survivors who are in red ranks belong in red ranks. At least the ones I've met.

I've seen posts of their emblems being bugged too. Not as many as survivors though. Actually that makes sense being there's more survivors lol.

I'm actually pretty happy slumming in Rank 10 right now. The games are different and usually (not always) more chill with less sweaty killer builds. I haven't ran into a single nurse or spirit all day. That's a win. Yesterday I ran into some Rank 10 Spirits who were pretty easy to beat.

Unfortunately, we can't do more than wait and see, and we can't get any lower than rank 20. I hope! 😉

The more time goes on, I'm liking the bug. I still think it's not hard to get to red ranks, but it might mean something to say you're rank 1 now, especially if they drop rank reset down to 10 or even 15 again. Fix the hitboxes, and maybe add a fun reward for rank 1 status, and the good players might find it challenging enough to come back.

Mostly because of the Unbroken-Emblem, I guess. I always miss out by one or sometimes two Points for a Blackpip or Pip, so because of the missing Unbroken I either dont blackpip or dont pip. I just made it to Rank 4 with 3 Pips I think, which is taking quite long already.
Also, sometimes I get the Unbroken, and then this happens:
This was before Rank Reset, but you can clearly see that I pipped up, but the game was like "Nah".

Not playing with the game's actual state and won't come back till they fix this mess. And the more time it will pass the less likely i will be to come back at all

We had a huge downgrade, thanks to the broken unbroken emblem.

I imagine many went down to purple in part due to rank reset and the broken emblem.
I went down 8 ranks in a day because of both.
I dont care a ton about rank but I hate getting matched with players who bad teammates
