I get the same issue if they're downloaded onto my HDD, but not if they're downloading onto my SSD

Well, I'm downloading to my SSD, also people should not be forced to buy a hardware piece just to get a decent 98MB download time...

This literally comes up every single update.
It has absolutely nothing to do with internet speeds and doesn't matter if the update size is 100mb or 25GB because it's done downloading, it's INSTALLING which depends entirely on your system and how long it takes to go through the entire contents of the game which currently is ~46GB so while this is happening check your task manager under performance tab and see how quickly the drive is reading/writing and do the math from there. If it's on an HDD then it's going to be slow, and if it's also your system drive then it's going to be even slower.

This issue is known from a years and yet it's not fixed.

Yeah? How come other game's updates are literally 2s?

Most games are not configured the way this game is for this very reason. There are a couple of other games that use it but it's rare, again, for this very reason. Take it up with the devs they choose this method when they created this dumpster fire of a game.

It's not an issue it was a choice, and it can't be changed.

Choice? Other updates from different games downloads and install for me very fast, while DBD update literally takes an half of hour to install a bug-fix patch.

I just downloaded this and I get an error, oh and my version still says 4.5.0

Yeah, this is a weird one. For some reason DBD has always taken ages to update even if you have a perfectly decent internet connection and drive speed.
Not sure why - I've only ever had this issue with DBD, but it's strange.
