Impossible to pip at red ranks
No matter how much I do whether it be healing, repairing, cleansing, unhooking etc. If I don't escape I get punished for it cause the unbroken medal gets greyed out despite it saying "you get a medal based on how long you survived" and I'm normally one of the last ones to die.
What's the point in playing tbh?

This is the exact same thing that is happening to me. I try my very best to help my teammates by doing gens, healing, unhooking, helping teammates, surviving and still I'm poorly rewarded for my gameplay that I tried my best on. It's almost impossible to hear someone say "good team".

That's just an untrue statement. If it's impossible how am I staying at rank 1 even?

You can pip as a survivor without the unbroken emblem. I just did it.

Devout emblem on killers is also broken /= 11 hook actions and i get silver? They all died too btw

It's not just red ranks I needed the 3 iri emblems to even get a pip at rank 16. oh and if someone DC's before the match starts there goes the pip I just got.

So pretty much if I get hooked once then that's it? Your chances of pipping get turned to zero

I mean, the only Rank 1 Survivor I have seen was a Hacker. So you must be a god at this game, because most of the time dying lets you depip and surviving might only grant a Blackpip instead of a Pip (even tho, this is more rare).
Usually I make Rank 1 around 2-4 days after Rank Reset, currently I am barely Rank 4, since every Death is a depip (and most of the time would have been a Blackpip, since I am missing out 1 or at max 2 points overall).
While this is true, there is a lot of luck involved in that one. You have to get good Chases AND have teammates not being so good on Gens to do Objectives your own.
Unbroken is the last Emblem. They changed it to alphabetical order (for whatever reason..).
Old: Lightbringer - Unbroken - Benevolence - Evader
New: Benevolence - Evader - Lightbringer - Unbroken

As someone already posted a picture above it is very possible to pip and you can also die and not depip if you played well enough.

According to this page, to pip at rank 16 you need 10 points. With three medals you can also pip with:
2 Iri 1 Silver/Gold
2 Gold 1 iri

Yeah, and I already said that there is luck involved. You have to be good at chases AND have bad teammates to get their work done to also get Objectives.
And this for quite a bunch of games to actually get to Rank 1.

I'm rank 1 and staying there I normally die anyway so a silver emblem dont mean much to me, it's harder but better imo
