Technically Dwight was supposed to be some random BHVR employee but end concept looked closer to Cote. 😂

Dwight's actually based on a real person who doesn't work at bhvr but was a friend of the office. Just happens to bear a strong resemblance to MCote as well. A few survivors are like that, the rl version of Jake was on a dev stream once.

Except that the specific question he was responding to was about how the poster was getting genuinely angry and depressed in real life from playing Killer from how unbalanced the game was. How is suggesting they take a break not good advice? The entire stream had the devs already talking about their plans on balancing the game, so what do you think he should've said? Repeating what they had already talked about earlier that stream?
People have taken that quote out of context maliciously for years. No f*cking sh*t he doesn't interact with the community much anymore, with how immature and whiney it is.

You contradict yourself.
Think about it, this person was saying that the frustration of playing killer was damaging them mentally, but they still continued to play despite this, which means that they really care about the game. One of the lead developers saying "You should just play something else" kinda seems like a big middle finger to the people who want the game to succeed

They might care about the game but many of them also want the game to work as they want, without givinig a **** about the other side.
Just take a look on the forums, most of the nerf/buff threads can also be translated into "change this because that's what makes me lose and instead of trying to use my skills to deal with it i rather have you devs to nerf it"

I agree with most you said. While some things can definitely be improved, most of the community just rant on impulse after losing a game and want everything going their way. They basically want to win all the time and every obstacle to that needs to be crushed.
