Hopes for the next killer?
As the title says im wandering what everyone's hopes are for the next chapter original or licensed.
Personally i really hope we get a Xenomorph but i sadly doubt that will ever happen.

in all seriousness i want "Ghostbusters". which if you look at the ghostbusters marketing trends it could be possible. plenty of survivor options from the cast, and there is a couple of possible killers (anyone from Gozer The Destructor, Ivor Shandor the architect, and Vigo the Carpathian).

Seem to be the same generic suggestions every thread. Resident Evil, FNAF, Candyman.
Hoping for someone more aesthetically cool than the last 2. Been stuck as a Trapper/GF main for ages now. Hopefully we get another high tier killer.

I think the developers only put in more famous characters, in an interview apparently, they asked Mathieu about whom they considered and he said that he considered Chucky, Pinhead and Candyman. But I don't consider Hannibal Lecter, Tall-Man, Jeepers Creepers (Never) or Pumpkinhead. I imagine they want the faces most recognized by the public.

I'd be game for just about anything licensed. The last original killer I liked was Oni and even he's oddly obnoxious to play on console

I wish for Xenomorph too but mainly because I finally want a killer that could be able to crawl on walls and ceilings.
Any killer with such power would do, especially after devs didn't allow it to Victor.

I'd like to see a monster, or other sort of mythical beast. I just don't really like slashers, like creatures can look so damn cool, where as humanoids are just... eh.

Agreed, ever since demo i was hoping for more none human killers hence why i want a xenomorph

Honestly if licence then I'm hoping either alien or hellraiser. If we're talking more original then I'd like to see the classic werewolf or maybe a vampire (half bat not human like) just for the og horrors. But a non humanoid would be the best thing, always far more interesting imo

I do like Alien a lot but Predator fits a lot more in the game especially with hooking survivors

It's not just a hope for a killer but rather a whole package : Resident Evil.
Funilly enough, what I want the most out of that pack would be the map. Raccon city Comissariah Police Station would make for such a perfect DbD playground.
After that I think any of the 4 RE2R and RE3R main characters would be a top tier addition to the game (just make the 2 others as skins).
And last, but strangely least, the killer. The obvious choice is a Tyrant, probably Nemesis (but MrX would work perfectly as a skin), but the thing is, despite being pretty iconic, that guy dont have ... well, anything that sticks out gameplaywise outside of "I'm Immortal" and "you can hear me comming a mile away". Funilly enough, I think the Licker will make for a way more interesting killer. I just want to be able to jump on walls, that would look cool and play very differently than the rest.

I'd like Jack Baker from Resident Evil 7, but since Resident Evil is kinda generic- I'd also like to see Hugo from At Dead Of Night.

I want so badly to see Pinhead as a killer, plus Amy Klein as a survivor, for example. That's my little dream I've had since playing DBD. 😍

I watched all 3 movies in anticipation of Chapter 17, it didn't end up being him but I fell in love with the character anyways

But I'm very sure it won't, mostly because it's from a older movie and I don't think the know this one.

I'm guessing it's gonna be a licensed killer. Maybe Pinhead or Candyman. But I don't care either way; licensed or original killers are always cool.

I still want Pumpkinhead with all hex perks like how Hag was. It would make a lot of sense with the plot as well.
Also since I don't ever see anything like Aliens making it into this game, it's the best I can hope for.
If I had to pick a non licensed character, I honestly want heaviour to stop playing it safe and make their own monster character, Demogorgon is one of the most well animated killers in the game, and I think they could create a cool monster if they could get out of their human only headspace for a bit.
Just look at Minotaur Oni, Krampus Trapper, that cool legion skin with the hands, the blight skin- they CAN make monsters. I want to see them make their own, I think it would also help but DBD back on the map to have a cool and interesting character like that which draws people in.
I think Pinhead would be boring, but in terms of licensed characters....it's probably more likely than anything else. It's humanoid, it would have some generic ability, people would go nuts for it cause it's Pinhead...logical choice.

Would love to see Slenderman as a new killer since your main goal is to avoid looking at him as much as possible. I personally think this could create some intense chases.

I could never get over the ridiculous concept of his appearance to watch any of them.
Like I even watched the trailer for the new one and just idk..... I would like a reason to watch them, can you sell me on it? Cause man the concept for that is dumb; but I am willing to be convinced haha.

In terms of licensed Killers? Art the Clown, Bobby Barrows, Pinhead, or Chucky are all top picks for me.
For original stuff? A convict, somebody that uses fire, or that pig farm black widow killer described in the archives would all be cool.

I hope we get more stealth based killers that encourage them to be smart and not just abuse powers like twins for instance. Myers for example is always fun to play against. I more prefer original killers as it allows BHVR to have more freedom with all the design choices + cool outfits.

Pinhead would be pretty fantastic if they can get it. The aesthetic fits, and there's so much iconography that involves chains and hooks already.

If it's the bees that put you off, it's because they tie into his backstory.
He was a painter in the 19th century, knocked up the daughter of a rich white dude, got lynched infront of the whole town, cut off his right hand and covered him in honey and left him to die to the bees in a nearby apiary or smth
I myself wasn't too excited going into the movie but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it actually was, you can skip over 2 and 3 if you'd like, you know how horror sequels can be

It's the dumb say his name in a mirror summons him and he kills you part that I could never get past.

Hellraiser Chapter. Preferably with Doug Bradley's form of Pinhead as the Killer. If Legion hadn't already done it, having all 4 of the Cenobites from the original 2 movies would be absolutely fantastic. Would 100% buy all the cosmetics just because I love that universe.
The Cotton House from the first movie would be excellent as a map. Either that or the Chanard Institute, or possibly an extension onto Leary's. There's a lot of substance in the original 4 movies you could draw from for a Chapter.
