1) My skill has a factor in if I win, not just if the survivors mess up (something the vast majority of the killer roster can't adhere to). I also enjoy the tracking by sound/mini mind game you play between each other.
2/3) Spirit relies on sound for tracking. While Stridor does semi counter Iron Will, if it didn't Spirit would get trashed.
4) Most survivors play this scenario incorrectly and generally speaking, if you are in this situation you already misplayed. People who understand how to counter play Spirit don't have a problem with this scenario.
5)Survivors who actually understand how to play against Spirit. You could say this for most killers though.

Fair enough but one quick question about 4 how would you play that correctly then

Typically you prevent it from happening in the first place. IE one example being when you're getting phased after to a pallet. All she sees is scratch marks towards the pallet and hears you running to it as she follows you. You then throw down the pallet while you're still on her side. It wouldn't make sense to do this so she will assume you threw it from the other side and go around.
Now her power is on cooldown and she's on the opposite side of the loop. She's a 110% killer and shouldn't be hitting you without her power. So just this one scenario has cost her at least half an entire gen for not even getting 1 hit. This cost her a lot.
Another example:
Assume pallets already thrown. Start sprinting away when she's standing still. She will now think she's losing ground and phase after you. After a couple seconds start slow walking in another direction(not towards her). You just controlled when you wanted her to phase. She will have to randomly guess which direction you started walked. She will generally lose this guess as there are quite a few options. Soon as she pops out start sprinting as now you've got a few seconds on a 110% killer, IE enough to get to another pallet.
Another:
When you're unsure if she's phasing quickly break LoS if you have the option. Now she will have to guess which way you went.
I can go on and on and on.
Here's the key takeaway from this all and how you beat Spirit:
You have to force her to react to you, not you reacting to her. You have to understand what she is hearing and seeing, then manipulate that.
This is the complete opposite of how you play against almost all the other killers. This is why when people say she doesn't give you any feedback to know what she's doing you already know that person doesn't fundamentally understand how to play against Spirit. If you are looking for feedback from Spirit you are already failing. You are supposed to be making her look for feedback from you and then giving her false information, IE a MINDGAME.

1) Not really a main, just an occasional player and fan of the idea of her power. If she got a rework to be... Honestly, maybe not even "fair", just less ridiculous, then I'd be maining her.
2) Dislike it, but mostly because it screws over everyone, not just Spirit. I don't actually have a problem with it against Spirit because she's so damn strong.
3) Training wheels.
4) The thing I hate most about her.
5) Painful. I don't use Stridor or soundsnipe footsteps, so actually trying to track them... Well, it gets pretty damn hard.

Thank you this is the most clear way I can tell people how to play a spirit from people who play her and while it's not guaranteed to work every time just even haveing an idea on what to do will help many people

- I just really love her character, lore, aesthetics, and gameplay. I’m a simp for Spirit.
- It needs a rework along with Spirit needing one. Iron Will is a good counter to Spirit, possibly the only counter to good Spirits and that brings me to question 3.
- I barely ever run it because I want to give the survivors a fair chance when I play Spirit because I do understand she isn’t fair.
- Standing still isn’t a mind game. This aspect of Spirit’s gameplay needs to go away.
- I guess Iron Will. Those survivors are a pain to deal with but at least it does counter Spirit. As I said, Spirit and Iron Will both need a change at the exact same time.

1 why main spirit
I main multiple killers she is just one of them. Honestly I play her because she's easy. Sometimes I just want to relax. Her power is super strong and takes a low skill level to master.

What about it, do I hate if people run it against me. Not really. Personally I run Iron will on survivor and it has nothing to do with killer, I just hate listening to the survivors whimper for 10 minutes.
3 thoughts on stridor
If you are playing spirit, you are being sweaty if you run stridor. Her power is strong as is. This just lowers her already low skill level. Its what makes playing against her even less fun

Fake Phasing as in she pretends to use her power but doesn't. Is BS. I think survivors should know if she is or isn't phasing.

I hate indoor maps, they are both great and terrible with her depending on your headsets surround sound abilities. For example they are great for her because footsteps are easy to hear... however they always sound much closer or on the same level as you and they may be above or below you and probably a few steps further forward then they sound.

1) She looked cool on release so I thought I might as well try her.
2) Really her only somewhat reliable counter, don't care too much about it as it really only prolongs a chase rather than causes me to lose it.
3) Never use it as it negates Spirit's only form of counter.
4) Dumb, never do it myself, giving a survivors a tell that you have started phasing would probably be a good change in relation to game health.
5) Maybe 4 Iron Wills / Dead Hards? Neither are unfair but both manage to prolong a chase which is annoying for any killer really.

I don't main her but I play her often. I'll be honest most matches with her I never use her power and still do pretty well somehow. I think her phase ability psyches out survivors the second they know who they're up against and so they just stop playing calmly and rationally making for easy wins.

I did it for a while because I mained each killer for about 2 weeks while developing a basic skillset for each
Iron will is annoying to deal with
if you can have a perk slot used to remove sounds I can use one to bring them back
never used it so idc about it
iron will + stridor + audio bug gets me every time or even worse stridor + audio bug and the survivor has no audio anyway
