Kill Switch update: Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Hey BEhaviour, remember the Bloodlust experiment?

Do that again

Do it again but remove certain features or perks, like removing the ability to use SWF or exhaustion perks for a weekend, and see how it impacts matches.

Everyone complains about certain killers, perks, loops, maps, features, everything. So just do some experimentation and see what happens.

    Why would they want to remove some of the most fundamental parts of the game just to experiment? Would just be a complete waste of time

    Yeah, let's not let people play with their friends. That surely won't kill the game. </s>

    They can already monitor matches where those features are not present vs those where they are present.

    Bloodlust was different because every single match always has it enabled.

    This. If the devs want to see SWF win rates compared to solo players then they can pull up stats from those two groups. Same thing with perks, maps and loads of other things in the game.

    Bloodlust needed the test because every game has bloodlust by default, so they can't find out how much of an impact bloodlust has unless they can compare games with or without bloodlust.

    ^ this, so much. The same with "disabling DS", what was asked during the Bloodlust Experiment - Devs can already filter this out.

    @Topic:

    I mean, you can disable SWF for a weekend. And have insane queue times for Killer, because at the very least, Survivors are removed from the Survivor Pool and at worst, more Killers are added. E.g. I only play 2 man SWF, if I cannot play Survivor with my friend, I will play Killer. So that is 2 Survivors out of the pool and at least 1 Killer player more during certain times.

    Result in the end will be that Killers will wait for really long time or also dont play, because they have super-long queues.

    tbh, I thought that this is a question when Bloodlust finally gets removed. Too much hope, I guess.

    Removing swf, even for a weekend, will cause lots of people to quit. No one should be punished for wanting to play with their friends, even though it allows them to cheat. Devs should just hurry up and start changing some core mechanics that bring solo players up and buff the weaker killers.

    Other than that, I agree, we need more test weekends. I want a three day trial where hooks teleport the survivor away from the killer when three or more gens are up.

    As much as i dispise facing TOXIC SWF (huge accent on the toxic part, no issue with friends playing together ), if they remove that feature the game will die really fast.

  • They need to remove NOED and then check how that affects the kill rates.
