Prestiging
With the addition of tons of new cosmetics I believe the prestiging rewards have to be reworked.
The chance to get better items is so small that it isnt even noticeable (some reddit experiment "proved" that there is no difference at all, idk) and the cosmetic is the other only benefit from it.
There should be another reward for prestiging, but only a subtl, nothing gamebreaking
In my opinion increased ratity of addons/items would be sufficient already, it should be a continous improve the rarer items such that on prestige 3 there is no common stuff at all anymore (I dont think there is any common thing that is desirable) and the chances for very rare/ultra rare should be noticeable higher.
There should also be a reward for devotion, however I have no real idea how that could look like besides from some BP or shards/auric cells boost.

I agree - if you are settled on wearing a favourite cosmetic there is little point in prestiging.
In fact I dread prestiging a character now. Got so many rubbish perks unlocked on both survivor and killer its a real drag trying to get back the ones you actually want. (Self heal and BBQ natch)

I got Leatherface to Prestige 3 level 50 first hoping that I would get Beasts Marks and Carburetor tuning guide more often... but there's not much difference. Hell, I would even be ok with just being able to prestige forever, except maybe, let us take 4 of our current perks with us to the next prestige, after prestige 3. Something... Because, I see the new 40-60k BP bloodweb at level 50 with nothing but junk and I'm just like.. awh mayunn.

I like to imagine prestiging and devotion levels are unfinished, and that the devs do have cool plans for them. I usually imagine this first thing in the morning, before the tortures of the day beat all the hope and joy out of me.

i literally run nothing else but common / uncommon add ons on my killers, as they are cheap and effective. and i also have no problem with the current prestige rewards (every 3rd bloodweb has NO red mori inside, every 5th or so has no red stuff)

I disagree, prestiging should be a "pain" because you dont have the best perks.
But what has to change is that there is no reward to that.1 -

Rares and Very Rares will mostly stay the same at 6 and 3 after level 50. It's the ultra rares that change upon prestiging and that number can almost double.. without prestiging, it has about a ~30% chance of appearing so you have to decide if the 50-60% chance is that big a deal for you. If it is, then p3 your killer. I did my own data gathering with almost 500 bloodwebs after they did the bloodweb rework last year and nobody could give me a definite answer on how much difference it would make.. and at the time, I already had Trapper, Billy, and Myers nonprestiged with all perks. I ended up p3ing all my killers.
If you don't play a lot and by that I mean having under 500 hours, it's probably not worth it.

Not all rare stuff is great though and it‘ll make bloodwebs much more expensive if there is no common stuff at all.
Overall I would agree though that prestiging should be a bit more attractive without making it mandatory.0
