Why are survivors such sore losers 90% of the time?

I just played a match against a leatherface on ormond and there were 3 of us left once the last gen was done.

The EGC started and then the other 2 survivors got downed in quick succession. The first one downed had ttv in their gamertag so I'm assuming they were a streamer.

Anyway, they got hooked outside the main building within 30 meters of one another.

I didn't have BT equipped and one of them had kindred because I could clearly see bubba just walking back and forth between them both.

I snuck up as close as I could without being spotted, trying to gauge whether I could make a quick save on one and then yeet out of there. There was literally no way to make a save without going down in the process or trading me for the other person.

I decided it wasn't worth it considering the emblem system is broken and I'd depip if I died meaning I'd have to linger in yellow ranks longer (I deranked from 8 to 17 overnight during the most recent rank reset for some reason).

I left through the gates instead and afterwards in the post game chat the ttv said they reported me and called me a troll saying I shouldn't even bother playing the game.

Like #########? They lost fair and square, accept it and move on. Everyone loses at everything at some point. It's a part of life. And why would you play something that gets you that wound up anyway?

Survivor mains are lame.

They should have been able to see all of my perks in the post game screen. Maybe they were so blinded by rage they didn't bother looking idk

I wasn't trying to start an us vs them argument :(( just broadening the statement

Dont worry about your rank it means nothing ul rank up as you get better.

People worry more about pips and rank than actually learning the game.

There would prob be less sore losers if everyone just played the game to have fun

The problem isn't my skill it's that the new update sent me to rank purgatory. I was rank 8 at rank reset. Then I went to rank 17 after reset. The system still tries to match you with similar ranks tho (albeit horribly most times) and so I end up in lobbies with total potatoes. I'll run a killer for like 3-5 minutes or more and one gen will be done! I used to get put in lobbies with competent teammates who could finish 2-3 gens in 5 minutes. I can't pip either because the emblem system is bugged so I'm just stuck with these potatoes and broken hitboxes on top of it.😭😭😭

I have that problem when I play survivour sometimes I get good players but majority of time potatoes.

I stopped caring about rank and pips a long time ago as long as I have fun that's all I play game for.

Plus I'd happily go back down ranks as most red ranks are sweaty as hell.

Because the game's asymmetrical people can't really tell what you're thinking and tend to project emotions on to you. I find I get more positive responses if I give people a "gg wp" or a "gg <3".

Things have been pretty chill for me recently barring a few wannabe trolls.

I did have a baffling match the other night though where I beat a 4 man SWF as Bubba. They were pretty chill (i.e. bad at the game) so I went out of my way to play nice: no camping or tunneling, no killing survivors until everyone was on death hook, etc.

I was fully prepared to give one of them hatch until one of them DCed to give their teammate hatch but goofed it up. I gave them a "gg <3" but then the last survivor responded with an all caps:

HOW'D YOU LIKE ALL THOSE PALLETS TO THE FACE?!

I responded with, "Fine, I guess. How'd you like all those chainsaws to the face?"

He hit me back with a sick burn:

YOU ONLY CHAINSAWED ME TWICE, LOSER

Needless to say, things only got funnier from there. Sometimes the only thing you can do about a salty player is giggle. Loudly.

There are plenty of sore losers on both sides.

The sore winners are worse... god, the sore winners are so much worse.

You'd think the cheating level advantages of voice coms would humble people but its the ######### opposite by faaaaaaaaaar.

The DBD playerbase is ######### awful. Straight up.

Sore losers who want you to clean up their mess after their bad plays.

You probably would not have been able to trade vs a leatherface anyway he would of just chainsawed both of you down even with BT.

Escaping was the best option. Their threats have no teeth, ignore them.

Thanks. It's weird to get trash talk in the post game chat from other survivors. I usually only see that when I play killer so it was one of those omg you gotta be kidding me moments.

  • Don't worry about it too much, some people feel entitled to a rescue because they either feel they are too good to of been caught or feel they deserve a save. I'm a survivor main with ttv in my name but I basically invented humble pie, don't get me wrong I can get as mad as the next person at a bad game but don't blame anyone and sometimes even want to be left so others can escape. I like to try get the team out not just myself so if I die I can take it much easier then some people lol.

i wouldnt really say they lost "fair and square" cuz they were probably being camped. and trust me, anyone would be mad in that situation

The world may never know why people get mad at video games. I personally don’t get it but I find it funny when people try to insult me simply bc of a win or lose. People will think of any excuse besides themselves to cope with a loss, maybe they don’t have bigger issues in their lives to worry about.
