Does anyone get banned?
I had a group of survivors call me racial and homosexual slurs yesterday, then they used about every bankable and hateful word in existence and not a single one is banned? I feel like slurs should definitely be bankable right. Even if I'm white and straight I think the fact that they said them is the bannable part right?

I believe they can be banned. If you have pictures of the chat they are going to get ban faster.

Depends if you reported them or not. The end game chat is not monitored.

Are you sure they weren't banned? As horrible as that is (and I'm sorry you had to go through that) the ban could unfortunately be as little as 24 hours.
If you reported them, and what you're saying is true, then that should 100% result in a ban of some kind soon.

Is it because you were toxic ? Have you camped them the whole game ?
If you are toxic, why should the opposite side be polite and respect you ?
Its funny how some people think its alright to ruin other people's game experience but insulting should be directly perma banned.

I got the same situation (I wish I could send here the video with the chat and support ticket but yh forum rules) this guy called me heavy stuff and a week after support answered me I found him back in a lobby. He had no game bans in record, and I know they get saved on steam because a friend ######### talked about bhvr in a post game chat and he got ban mark in profile

Your scenarios are totally irrelevant as it comes down to what is and is not bannable, according to BHVR. Sorry but camping isn't on that list.

You made sure to report them and take photos of the chat, right? I think there is one more step that you should take that will help them get banned. It's either sending it to the mods on the Discord server, or post it on the forums in a specific category.

I genuinely didn't realize I had to take pictures of it and I apologize for not, but I always report when they say slurs and hate speech in chat, tbh I thought reports would be enough but will start taking pics in the future

Where the hell do you FIND these people?!
I am up to 265 hours into this game and I never once been called a slur. Not once. NOT EVER.
I've gotten a lot of "trash killer" and so forth, but never any kind if slur - racist, homophobic, or otherwise.

Honest answer is probably no. They are the only company that I've seen who don't tell the person if the person was cheating/breaking the rules or not.

Well if it's true that's on Sony and Microsoft, not on bhvr, I think OP wants to know if they are bannable from DBD, not PSN or xbox live
Pretty harsh IMO for sony and microsoft to ban just for regular slurs but I guess they are concerned about the kids

Please make sure you report in game, you don't need to send to Support as we have the chat logs saved when the ingame report is made.
Also, please remember that we do not discuss bans on the forum - this is not directed at the OP but some of the other comments that I've just deleted from this thread.
As an aside, not all bans are permanent bans - we do also give out temporary bans, these do NOT show on a persons profile, so just because you don't see the "game banned" notice on someone's profile doesn't mean action wasn't taken against them.
Finally, yes we do ban for racism, homophobic slurs in the end game chat. Everything is handled on a case by case basis.

There is never any reason to insult other people, especially using those type of words - just because someone camped someone doesn't give ANYONE the excuse to behave in that manner. Camping is not against the game rules, hateful speech is!
