I've attempted several times now. I get the processing banner pop up and that's it, it just spins, does nothing.

I managed to fix this issue by uninstalling Steam in its entirety and running it as administrator. It's a really inconvenient fix, especially if you have a lot of games installed, or have a poor internet connection, but that's what did it for me. Fortunately, I only have two other games installed besides DbD.

Haven't attempted this fix, really want to avoid it.
