the loop of ds.(imo)

so with the new change to ds there is two problems I see although I'm down for criticism.

the first problem with the change is that a killer doesn't know if the surv he's on has disabled there ds unless he saw them actually do said action. this will cause killers in most situations to still play around ds the same way they do anyway.

the other point id like to make is that, ive seen a lot of people say that they are scared killers will just tunnel as there will be no obsession due to "nobody running ds". the problem all ready apparent with this is the fact that survivors believing this will just be in a loop of running ds.

killer tunnels because no ds = surv puts on ds to counter tunneling, killer verses ds and gets effected by it = killer starts respecting it. then this cycle will pretty much repeat.

i think that to stop this, the devs should make a forced obsession no matter what the situation.

do you agree or disagree.

If I see no obsession I tunnel without any care in the world.

If I see an obsession I eat it, then tunnel freely.

This change is just objectively good, I can't see why anyone would complain about it honestly. Realistically, this isn't going to affect anybody except the innocent Killers who get punished for explicitly not tunneling and the Survivors who abuse the perk to gain unfair advantages. It's not a nerf to DS or a buff to Killers, it's a way to prevent the Survivors' from abusing it.

It's still the same anti tunneling perk like it's supposed to be, but now it's also not a broken perk Survivors' can use as a free invincibility period that drastically wastes a Killer's already little time with zero penalties to the Survivor side. It's sad that this change doesn't address the issue of tunneling in the end, but that's basically a different issue that requires much more work to prevent.

Essentially what I mean is, stop thinking about it as a nerf to DS and instead think of it as a first step towards a more enjoyable game for both sides. Preventing toxic Survivor behaviour is equally as important as the Killer's side, after all.

I often do that too, depends of the actual preasure but if managed to preasure survivors doing gens safely and I have the time I eat ds just to get rid of it and then tunnel that guy for free.
