Speed of the current game (redder ranksfor killers)

So is it fair that survivors can on average complete 3 gens within the first 2 minutes of the map?

a lot of the times at red ranks, survivors average 5 gens in less than 5 mins even thou you hit/chase/hit/hook in maybe 40 secs

how is it fun/fair?

is the game only meant to be balanced for very very low skill players? is this why a LOT of killers dodge queues and dc out?

that's assuming all 4 started separate and near a gen undisturbed. I'm not saying they don't start like that too often it seemed sometimes, and that it isn't annoying, but that's why a lot of people still use corrupt

Here's how I see it. When MMR comes out and stabilizes, you will be able to see the real balance of this game. Based on tournaments where the best players play against each other, it is a known fact that survivors win most of the time and killer resorts to camping.

With that knowledge in mind, if the gens decide to tweak gen times and increase them (based on map or realm?) then most survivor's MMR will decrease. Some can power through it who I think deserves to be at the top. As for people who can't keep up, they'll go down in MMR and play against killers where they will have a good match. Nothing changes. Only difference is it increases skill required to reach high MMR and you don't get it by pushing gens and holding W and without outplaying the killer and top killers will be able to get their skills rewarded.

Also this fixes the bad teammates issue where at high MMR you need good teammates to survive which is what you'll get.

I play with my friends who are red ranks (I'm purple on average but sometimes reach red when I play a lot but haven't been lately bcuz desync problem and I play other games lol) and we don't come close to getting 3 gens done in 2 minutes lol

If this is more like optimized groups or extremely good solo queue survivors who all do well independently then okay I get it but from my personal experiences this almost never happens for me when I play with my friends (Who are better than me and have been playing longer) or try solo queue.

I feel like instances of gens flying like crazy has more to do with certain maps and spawns.

It's really hard to say whether gen times are the real issue or not because of that

At 5 minutes for 5 gens (which happens a decent amount of times at higher rank)

As killer.. you have to hook them 12 times... in 5 mins that averages killers to hit a survivor, chase, hit, pick up, carry and hook them in 25 secs back to back... 25 secs to find one, hit him/her twice, carry them and hook then... in 25 secs or less, for a killer to "win"

    .... ?

Do you slug? I'm not asking to be rude. Most killers especially lower tier need to slug for the pressure.

yeah that's why I definitely won't be playing killer with mmr, once you no longer have a weakest link or potato discord group, you're gonna wanna go like AT&T and reach out and punch someone. after they hit their true elo killers often won't find they're having much fun any longer. that's what I expect. I can't wait for it to happen just so I can be right about it lol.

Should i have to? i dont want to slug and also it PUNISHES killers for doing so... less points and prob a derank EVEN if you get all 4 by slugging and 1 hooking.. and who is that fun for?

I don't mean going for 4 man slugs. I mean you down someone with a survivor nearby so you leave them slugged and chase the next one. It creates alot of pressure.

you have to preassure a lot to avoid that.

but at the same time you feel very pressured just knowing that gens can start pop so fast.

being killer is frustrating for me, being survivor is a walk in the park even when I'm frustrated I play survivor to relax

Played a solo match on cow shed and it was a group of gen jockies who didn't save unless forced to or the gen was completed.

We got out in 6 minutes and nobody got above 20k points lol

If survivors want out then they can get out, the only thing that prevents this is the emblem system forcing interaction if they want to pip.

That is literally what it was designed to do. Hide the rotten core of the game.

U don't need to be a super optimized team to do 3 gens in under 2 minutes. You just need a minimum of 3 survivors on different gens within 40 seconds of a match starting. Which happens even in solo queue. This actually used to be the norm in red ranks. It was so much the norm that if 2-3 gens didn't pop by the time the killer got their first down ppl dced (b4 DC penalties existed) cuz they felt that their team sucked.
