is it just me or does no one know about jumpscare Myers
I have not yet seen a Survivor that knows what to do against a jump-scare Myers play about five rounds with it each round I only had about one person Escape they treat him like normal Myers and hide when in a chase

I feel like part of it is "What am I supposed to do against a stealth killer that can see my aura?" I guess he is slower but it's still crazy on the survivor side if you face him on the wrong map (all inside maps except maybe Midwich)

Well, Myers is already very rare to go against (at least for me), not even speaking of jumpscare Myers, they are pretty much extinct. So I don't even blame anyone for not knowing how to play against him.
7 -
it's the best feeling picking a Survivor off knowing well that you scared the crap out of them

The new players fear a ... Jumpscare Myers.
1 -
or on anymap i will just watch them then I'll just stand right in front of them while they were walking and sometimes they just panic and run into a wall
4 -
Whenever I see the Lerys/Gideon as the last offering on the right, I automatically mentally prepare myself for a Jumpscare Myers match.
15 -
I can assure you that all Players, new or old, should fear a well-played Spooky Myers. :)

In fairness, I love me some Midwich as Spooky Myers too. And I find I can compete effectively on the Swamp maps as well. Half the McMillian and Auto Wreckers are favorable. Yamoka are neutral as they provide plenty of sneak up terrain. Aside from the Rotten Fields, even the Cold Wind Farms are possible, albeit hard.
The only maps I absolutely hate and cannot do well with a Spooky Myers are Crotus Penn and Grave of Glenvale.

In midwich you have to take a slightly different approach but not too long ago I did an easy 4k on it with burger king myers
The map is literally just a square on a square so survivors have pretty limited options when moving around and if they can't tell where you are, they'll eventually run into you

100% agree, especially with Crotus & Dead Dawg... Backwater’s a bit large, but the atmosphere works well. Coldwind is a li’l too tricky for me to pull it off successfully; prefer not ever having those maps with Myers.
I also really enjoy him on Hawkins, though most players don’t seem to wanna use him there. I’ve only faced 3 spooky Myers at the Lab.

A Spooky Myers and a Ghostface in Lery, Gideon, Hawkins, Midwich, The terror of these two sows panic and despair among the survivors.

Imagine not knowing about the most fun killer build to face.

I just realized there are two of you, probably more now that I think about it

The more Dweets the better. But don't forget I am the original 😉

Ngl I recently got Myers and Tier 1 Myers has been so much fun. I don't even have enough Mirrors to run them... I just don't Tier up until end game where being sneaky sneaky stops working and I need more looping power.
It has seriously been the best.
2 -
Honestly Midwich is fairly Myers friendly, it's just some builds aren't the best for Midwich Myers

You know the bandwagoners only want the new new,and to live vicarious off you're hype (energy)
1 -
I assure you that I am very much alive. I play Spooky Myers pretty much all the time. :)

I often go on runs of map offerings when I get indoor ones way too often. Feels good when the killer absents themselves when their Gideon/Lery's etc. offering is rng'd right out.
Very often it was a spoopy Myers, or the mother of all oppressive Doc builds.
1 -
People always take about spooky myers but I never hear about Pig which has a similar add on.

Yeppers!
Surprisingly, killers leaving when their planned realm gets spoiled has happened far more than a few times.
Doc/ Legion also love offering up the Meat Plant
And I’m on console, so offering screen dodging is frequent: Billys/ Huntress leaving on Gideon & Hawkins, PH dodging Springwood & Haddonfield, Survivors backing out when they see Mary’s Letter flip.
Twins and Blight seem to not mind matches anywhere, but I rarely ever see them anymore anyway... go figure
I would think GF wouldn’t want to play Glenvale, but they always do
I never use GF, so I wouldn’t know tho
1 -
Non existent for me but oh well I guess I will get a warning with OoO (or dc in loading screen since I most of the time burn a Sacrificial Ward)
0 -
There's a good reason for that.
Scratched Mirror gives 32m worth of aura reading and T1 Myers walks at 105%.
Amanda's Letter gives 16m aura reading, crouched Pig moves at 90%, crouching and uncrouching is much clunkier than stalking, and lastly Letter is a pink instead of a purple.
Overall, if you're going with that play style of super sneaky super intel with minimal looping potential, Myers is just better. Though if you want to not go all in on it Pig with Letter is better since she can uncrouch for normal looping.

I'll be honest, it's an example of some strong addon that I am okay with. The reason being is you need like specific addons that are finite, a map offering, certain perks, and the will to play it.
That being said it's overpowered of course, I've played it and just curbed people- but it's a TON of fun to both play as and against. It is frustrating if like, you go against it and you REALLY needed an escape that game for some challenge or something; but outside of that I get really excited he's a lot of fun.
Myers has some strong; but honestly some of the most fun addons in the game. They are unique and change the game in fun ways....shame that isn't the case with other killers.

Jump scare Myers is my favorite build to use. Its so fun. Usually nobody escapes me but the other day I played and it was against a 4 man streamer group. They really didn't know much about jump scare Myers. I think one of them did and told them what I could do. It was so dumb they just could tell each other were I was were I was going. Most unfun jump scare Myers game I ever did. They all got away.

Most people are garbage at DBD, period. It's not specific to certain killers.

Pretty sure there are too many players out there that should not be red ranks. No blaming, it is just the bad matchmaking. I also face people crouch behind rocks after I hit someone nearby with Feral Frenzy, for example. Some pretty basic mechanics that you don't get when you haven't played it yourself I guess, or faced at least 3 times. And not everyone reads through the build after a match
0 -
Well, the basic counterplay is W. Heal inside pallets at loops that are decently big enough or at the safe spots vs slow Myers. Which is at least the big drop on the Game, the upper part in the treatment theater or every catwalk
0 -
But that kinda means you need to wait for them, right? You can't really sneak up on them because on several gens you have a near pallet, window or plain sight. And when it comes to running the long circle... you basically have to hide in rooms and hope for survivors coming by

I vs him some times and it's really fun to go against.
All you have to do is listen closely as he breath very heavily like he's got astma.
If i hear that, then I'm gone.
Best thing is, depanding if he has nemesis and pwyf, to just keep running.
By the time he gets you if he decides to follow you, your on the other side of the map.
That is without throwing pallets, using loops, etc.
He's not really difficult but you need your team to know what to do too.
As far as I can remember, I always escaped from him.
But it is fun to see other survivors struggle and don't know what to do.
Playing against him as a solo is a bit more difficult when your team is clueless.

I think it is just so strong because many survivors play it wrong. I also don't face it so often as survivor but even managed to escape without spinechill. I love to play mirror on the game and did that pretty often during the twitch challenges, and got like 15-20 games with once 14 emblem points, otherwise at least 15. It is sufficient if you have that one guy easy to down, because that gives you the pressure to control gen progress
0 -
People know that this build exist, but it's really difficult to counter because if a myers plays it correctly then the survivor team is forced to constantly be on their toes
0 -
yah i just killed 4 rank 1 with jump scare myers
1 -
I play whatever map I get with Myers, even when they counter an Offering (I often roll the dice and don't put one in). I gotta learn to be able to play him on the big maps if I want to play him as often as I like. :)
1 -
No. Midwich is great for Spooky Myers because you "intercept" not chase and not wait. You pick up the direction they are going, let them think you are following and them double back and intercept them going the other way, or drop on them from above.
0 -
but the best part is picking someone of a gen
1 -
I'm going to give you MY trade secret for Spooky Myers on Midwich. It is a very simple thing.
- Enter the courtyard immediately and do a serpentine swing through it. Within five seconds you will pick up ALL of the Survivors and get their location. The size of your hack versus the size of the map allows you to use the Courtyard to locate everyone fast.
- Simply head for the most convenient ones, and BONUS if they all are together or in groups of two.
- Set priority to Generator Pressure. After a few you come out of nowhere constantly the second they get on a Gen will disrupt them.
Chances are you can grab someone right at the start. The key is you want them constantly paranoid and looking over their shoulders. With Midwich you can do this very easily if you are methodical.
1 -
What does this build consist of? (2 month player here and never heard of this playstyle/loadout for Myers, thanks!)
0 -
Wish more players would adapt that same mindset so we would see him in matches more often
0 -
All you do with mirror myers is to document how unskilled you are, needing an almost full map wallhack build to win.
I find it super boring to go against a killer who can see me all of the time through all of the walls.
Yawn.

Ever since Spinechill works on stealth Myers I don't see many jump scare Myers anymore. Shame because I found those moments of horror actually enjoyable in a horror game.

Use Nemesis (Oni) and Play with Your Food perks with jump scare Myers 😂
0 -
This.
Plus many survivors aren’t patient enough to wait for the match results to read a killers load out and learn about the perks and add on used.
In a side note, Myers, Pig, and Wraith are one of the reasons i’ll regularly keep Sole Survivor in my rotation. Sure it’s crap that one survivor needs to be dead for just 1 token, but damn is it a life saver when against these killers, because as rare as it is, going against these killers using their aura reading add ons SUCKS. They frustrate me so much. It’s very VERY satisfying being fortunate enough to have Sole Survivor on and thinking “yeah, take that, you can’t see me any more!!!”

Some Survivors rarely or never play Killer, so they're never going to be the best they could be if they've never experienced the other side, or, at least the other side for the Killers they're weak against.
With Legion, his playstyle is very different from all other killers, so it can be confusing to play against as a Survivor if you've never faced or played him before. Survivors get used to the whole idea of "okay, the Killer sees me, time to loop them...oh they hit me, damn, keep running!" which applies to pretty much all Killers, but instead, Legion runs away - what??? AND I have to mend?? Same goes for trying to loop him - "ha! I dropped that pallet!" *Legions vaults over it* "Oh shi-." And of course the situation you described, Survivors hiding and not knowing Legion has Killer Instinct telling them where they are. "Okay he's running near here...no way he knows where I am though! Wait he's coming RIGHT AT ME. #########!"
Love me some Legion 😂
1 -
Well, at least I know some streamers that are 100% survivor main but know about the killer powers and addons. And ofc being really good survivors. They can't name every killer addon or are not sure how they work, but know it exists and how to adapt.
But that's what I mean, red ranks should know about the killer powers, otherwise they run into those killers will lose as they make it easy for the killer by not knowing how to play against them. But the matchmaking/ranking isn't good enough to catch that lack of knowledge, so you will always have a chance to face those survivors that don't know how to play against legion or a scratched mirror

Only ever played against 1 Spooky Myers, 2 years ago. Got absolutely trashed, but did have a fun time against him. I spent about 15 seconds standing behind a rock while he was on the other side of it. That heavy breathing really gives him away. Have not seen any since then though. I do see a fair amount of Perma-T3 or Perma + Insta-kill Myers. Can almost always tell them because they burn Wards.
Wish I could play against more Myers though. Having to pay attention to your surroundings and be aware of what's going on around you is something a lot of people just don't do anymore. I'm working him up to P3 Max right now, at P3 30-something, and I pull people off gens constantly (as long as the grab bug doesn't pop up on me). They just don't scan around at all when they're up to their eyeballs in a gen.
Can't wait til I finally get M&A on him and can start using my Dead Rabbits. That's when the fun really starts.

My first experience with a T1 Mikey. Apparently he didn't stay in T1, but I still got jump scared to absolute #########.
Around the 1:40 mark.
