Heroic Cause?
I'm not exactly sure what the challenge is asking you to do. I'm assuming you have to pick up a slugged survivor twice in a match, but I'm not sure what it means by 'or recover by yourself'. Not sure what the perk Empathy has to do with it, either.

Yeah, that's what it's asking. Either heal a slugged survivor or recover yourself (i.e. Unbreakable/Soul Guard) twice in a match. Empathy is just the perk required to be equipped for the challenge, so a possible build you could run to achieve this is Empathy/Unbreakable/Soul Guard/WGLF (for the 100% slug heal)

Ugh. I figured as much. So basically "Pray the killer slugs a lot." Not a fan of challenges that are so heavily dependent on your opponent cooperating.

Agreed with that completely...it's one thing if it's something difficult, but another when you're suddenly counting on the killer or survivors playing in a certain way. It's not up to me if the killer leaves a survivor on the ground long enough to get them up, even if I'm close to where it's happening...a flashlight save is about as difficult for the average player but is something you at least get guaranteed attempts at...

I guess you have to finish healing them up from the dying state. Seems like a poorly thought out challenge.

And to have to do it twice in one match is especially dumb.

I completed it first try, for the people worked for me and in that match I did pick up 4 people from the ground with it, mostly suicidal plays of team-mate gets downed and I pick them up before killer does

Yeah all you need to do is pick up a survivor off the floor twice or yourself, it took over 5 hours on stream to get this one and I used For the People and used it twice, worked for me

Given that this challenge gave me serious tome 1 PTSD you are not wrong about it being very poorly thought out

WGLF and Empathy-> Did it in one match

I finally got this one. Managed to get the last second of a heal on a downed survivor against a Huntress. Then, when she downed her next survivor, I used For the People to complete the challenge. We all got out. I got lucky, though, cause she was slugging when she probably shouldn't have been.

For The People does work. That's how I did it.

After 20 games of failed attempts I tried renaming myself into "Slug Me for Mission x2" and similiar things. It took me FIVE more games to finally find a killer who was willing to read and cooperate with my name. Thank god this abhorrent grind is finally over.
