I am a native English speaker (live in England), and no, at least not here, they're not common if used at all. However, judging by the tweets from BHVR it seems like the teased character is from Seoul (Korea) so maybe it's a half-French half-Korean pop artist or maybe I'm looking into this too much

This can’t be the killer, this has to be the survivor they are hyping this up for.. There is no way a killer would look anything like this.

The first is a music clip playing and you see the time rewind the music and start over.
The next thing is a gof of an eye that appears to be the same person hinted around a few times. Looks creepy ro me.
The third is a picture of a big butterfly and some small ones . Blue and purple background

First is from DBD, its a visual of a playback app with a banger theme. My guess is thats the menu music for the chapter.
Second and third are from PaulieEsther (a GIF of a glitched face, maybe the Survivor, with some kind of reflection in the eye) and The King (a butterfly insignia with the same color scheme as the hidden PFP DBD has).

So the Divergance teaser was about there being multiple timelines, with different versions of the characters in different worlds, right? So what if this is the same character, just one from one world where they're a survivor and one from another where they're the killer?!

So I keep seeing a theory from the music thing of the killer being able to rewind time and when paired with the butterfly image it makes some sense to me. Going back in time, likely just a few seconds, to change the outcome of the future.

Don't you dare get my hopes up for this again, I was so disappointed when we got the Twins instead of a wendigo. Admittedly Twins were a cool concept but they ended up a ######### killer so last chapter was ruined for me :/
