Are any killer perks truly Overpowered?
Do any current killer perks truly scream overpowered? To me genuinely no. BBQ has 4 non perk counters it's bad if you can't do one of them. PGTW got nerfed to where no longer could any killer get across the map and pop one. Ruin was changed. Undying got nerfed. NOED I've found it more a nuisance since the longer I've played you learn totem spawns but it's style is like Freddy dull so it can get changed. Sloppy can be countered if you're a good looper. And Medkits. Whispers isn't a pinpoint thing. So do any killer perks truly scream overpowered? And we can't say one perk is OP because it excels on one character. Stridor, Iron Maiden, and Distressing for example.

No, except for maybe one and anyone that tells you otherwise is entitled.
The ONLY killer perk that could come close to this is NOED. It depends on a lot of things, and a lot of times NOED does very little, but there are enough times where it does more than it should. For example Devour is stronger but also much, much, much less likely to activate which keeps it balanced. NOED to say it takes up 1 perk slot can punch above its weight a little too frequently.

With Undying nerf I've found it like Noed a nuisance but nothing to truly anger me.

I'm going to try and not start the NOED debate again with this. It's entitled to say ANY perk for EITHER side is overpowered or close to overpowered. There's no argument about it. NOED, if a killer is doing poorly you can't argue that you had time to 5 gens in 5 minutes but you didn't have time to do 5 totems and 5 gens in 8 minutes per se. Also, if a killer is really good they probably don't have NOED so it's a waste of time unless you have Inner Strength. NOED is not overpowered. Survivors are lazy.
NOTE: I'm not saying you specifically but people who try to push the argument that NOED is overpowered are lazy. You just answered the question. I'm just giving my two sense on why I think it is not overpowered or close.

i don't know if i'll get ######### for this but i think that infectious fright is overpowered it's just not popular so it doesn't get talked about a lot. it's my least favorite perk to play against as a survivor tbh.

Oh I went down again really fast after being unhooked? Hit easy “skillcheck” and collect free extra life.
What other game rewards failure as much as DBD?
NOED is the closest thing on the killers side. Free downs for losing the game.

There are no truly overpowered perks in dead by daylight currently, in recent years the only overpowered perk was original mettle of man but it's got a well-deserved Nerf.
NOED- can get destroyed before you can use it and makes you only use 3 perk slots for almost all of the game.
DS - is getting nerfed
OoO- You need friends to make overpowered, and prob geting nerf in future

Hmnn.... not really. Undying was but it was nerfed.
DS and Object are the only survivor perks I genuinely have had gripes with as well and they are being nerfed.
I think even noed is fine a lot of the time, but I feel it shouldn't work if a survivor is already dead before the the last gen pops or something.

DS + Unbreakable is a combo. This is perks without anything to synergize with.

No, cause we can finish our objective by the time killer even has half of their's. Killers are on crunch time to get use out of perks.

No. The best killer perks are just the least bad for the most part bar a couple exceptions.
NOED's just unhealthy design in my opinion. It's not OP though.

Why would that even be discussed? That’s not a realistic situation in 99% of games.
If there is any obsession at all the killer has to assume all 4 survivors have DS. 1 perk can protect 4 survivors and change how the game is played entirely. If that’s not busted I don’t know what is.
Second closest to that is dead hard, since it also changes how the killer has to play even if it doesn’t exist. I have plenty of times where I have missed a down waiting out a dead hard that didn’t exist.
Unbreakable comes right in third. “Never slug anyone ever” is the counter when the games can last 5 minutes at red ranks.
And he said “without any skill required” even though dead hard for distance is mindless it could be skillfully used to dodge an attack.
NOED I despise for giving free kills out at the end. Speed boost and instadown for doing literally nothing all game. I hate the “do bones” argument because the totem spawns are godly on some maps.

I've been told shadowborn is op so not that far off from MS, and I only use it, because it's extremely useful on clown with narrow throwing of bottles helps not mess up a bottle toss, and the default fov is absolutely dumpster fire with clowns bottle throwing in my opinion, but some people think it's op. I know these people exist. People will stoop to an absolute low to think a perk that is such an uncommon occurrence is overpowered.

I've tried this just to see. At high ranks Undying always gets broken so it literally gives zero benefit to NOED except for defending dull totems in the early game.
Most survivors follow if the if it glows it goes and very few maps will hide 1 lit totem all match. So it's a wasted perk and may force you to play with only 2 for an entire match.

Idk if I would say it's entitled to say any perk is overpowered if the perk is actually overpowered. Like I wouldn't call people entitled for saying release MoM was overpowered, because it absolutely was.

To be honest, I run Undying/Devour and that's disgusting how easily I get to Mori every survivor.
And as a survivor, I always have Small Game in my builds.
Hexes had never be that powerful until Undying nerf.

If you have 4 ds in a strong swf, and you are going to lose, because you can't get anyone out of the game, but still eat a ds even though they are popping every generator after 2 minutes, and you still end up losing, because of a perk giving them extra time. Let alone when you don't even tunnel the person and they can sit on a generator and finish it, and still end up eating a 59 second ds is a serious problem. I ate 2 ds at the end of the round yesterday, and only got a 2k because of it. I only ate them, because the gates were open, and they were right by them. Yes it's a problem.

Tunnelling is a necessary strategy against good swf. I generally don't tunnel, but if someone draws me into a chase, and 3 gens pop before the 4 minute chase ends. I'm tunnelling at least 1 person out, I'll eat the ds and all.

I had some streamer call me every name in the book yesterday, because I ate ds and all when they were popping gen left and right on badham. When they were the weakest link. Couldn't last longer than 20 seconds in chase. Their swf was hiding just doing gens, but I spotted them each time. Ended with a 3k which is fine on badham for me, but that's the only way to win against a strong swf usually.

Aura perks, slowgen perks, Tinkerer, tracking perks. 1-shot perks (Devour, Rancor, NOED).
Game is way too easy for killer. Most maps are designed so stealth is not emphasized. All of these perks are unnecessary when stealth is not even encouraged by the devs. They've made all maps bright when deadzones everywhere. Tinkerer punishes survivor for doing the objective. BBQ is like WGLF that gives an aura of the killer's location and double bp for doing gens. There's no perk that instantly repairs a gen like 1-shot perks do for killers. BNP was the only thing comparable but it was of course....nerfed into trash tier like most everything else.

Maps? You make me laugh in Groaning Storehouse, Badham Preschool, Gas Heaven, Ormond, and the Game. Tinkerer yeah it's annoying but doesn't DS punish a killer for it's objective? BBQ has 4 counters how can you not do one of them? Devour Hope requires work and normally you'll have plenty of time to find the totem before the mori. The suggesting Rancor is OP pretty sad. Noed however is pretty dull like Freddy so it can get changed.

The counters to BBQ are not reasonable because you have to stop working on the objective and there's not always a locker nearby. It would be like DS when it was first released. DS is practically nothing compared to Tinkerer. A perk totally controlled by the killer and now will punish survivor for doing the objective. A perk that deactivates for touching a gen. And Tinkerer rewards killer for survivor doing the main objective.

I don't care if there's an obsession or not. If the survivors aren't slamming gens at break neck pace I don't tunnel. If I accidently down someone soon off hook I'll leave them slugged regardless. If I am tunneling it's for a reason and idc if ds is there or not. If I'm tunnelling I tunnel through ds.
One instance that WILL insure I tunnel you relentlessly is if you use bt to body block me while I'm actively trying NOT TO TUNNEL. If that happens, that player is dying at all costs.

I was referring to your "killers don't play nice without an obsession". Most killers don't want to eat ds if they have to tunnel. I personally feel it's much more restrictive and time consuming to try to avoid it... Considering buying time is my intention for tunneling.
Some killers just tunnel to be asses. But many survivors will prey on a weak killer and constantly bm them purely to be asses but that same killer will get WAY more hate for tunneling out a weak survivor to get a time advantage.

so you agree then, the whole debate that DS is so super strong simply because it forces killers to play in a certain way is invalid and they should be less scared about eating DS's or not tunnel unless necessary. that's not to say that DS isn't strong, it absolutely is, but it's necessary.

There are no overpowered killer perks, and if there were at one time they've been nerfed, because DBD's killers aren't supposed to be powerful. That would ruin the survivors' fun.

SOME and MANY are interchangeable. But killers DO get far more hate for utilizing ANY advantage. Never seen a message from a killer that starts "imagine needing (insert random perk, add-on etc)...".
I don't have any issues with DS. I play solo survivor and I too see a need for it in fact.
I'm more arguing the double standard of killer having to make the game fun for four others at their own expense or be called trash. When I've rarely (but it has happened) seen survivors sacrifice themselves if they see a killer struggle all match.
Notice "entitled killer main" is not even an expression. There's a reason.

It depends on the specific killer. Infectious Fright on Nurse? Ruin on Oni? Bamboozle on Bubba? Pop on Freddy? Stridor on Spirit?
Or the specific build. Legion with the mangled add-on, Thana and Ruin/Undying? Freddy with Pop, Corrupt, Sloppy and Thrilling Tremors? Spirit or Nurse with Devour Hope/Undying?
Also, pop barely got nerfed, you can still totally cross mother's dwelling and kick a gen. The lower timer just means you can't also chase someone. Plus Ruin is stronger than every it's just not free early game pressure (and the meta has shifted somewhat more towards early gen slamming).
