How do I get a good use out of iron will?
I just got iron will and have never used it, I don't really know how to get the best value out of it. Any tips?

The great thing about Iron Will is that it's always useful-- always. You get value out of it every match, whether you notice it or not.
It enables injured stealth, makes mindgames in loops harder for the killer, and possibly best of all, lets you pull sneaky moves mid-chase to potentially lose the killer.

Just don’t think you’re completely invisible with it and you should be fine.
At the same time though, you can get away with new plays that you probably hadn’t been able to do before.
Iron Will kind of does it’s own thing when you’re injured. You can hide better, and it helps with looping as long as you’re out of LoS.

Come to think of it, I think i am talking about the wrong game.

You just play the game normally and the killer loses you more often simply because you have it on. You make zero sounds while injured, so make use of that fact.

As some others have said, it works excellently for stealth and breaking line of sight in chase. Some killers know exactly where you are/are going based off of sound, and it can completely catch them off guard.

The only time you probably won't get much use of iron will is against a plague. Other than that, it's a universally helpful perk.
It also makes injured generator repair less scary, since the killer can't hear you as well.
Also, Iron Will is especially helpful against spirit. Even if she has stridor your iron will will still make you quieter than normal.
