Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Second Wind still has too many downsides to be useful...

This perk has one upside:

  • You get healed after being unhooked.

This perk has following downsides:

  • You can only use it twice.
  • You can only use it if you heal someone fully.
  • Perk deactivates if you get hit before timer reaches 0.
  • If you get hit through borrowed time, you dont get healed instead you get rid of borrowed time.
  • Stacks badly with deliverance. (ie. You should get healed after deliverance is over not after deliverance is over + 20s)
  • Probably more, but cant remember atm...

My go to build uses autodidact alongside it.

This helps with getting the full heal if someone has self cared or been healed a bit by someone else

It can work as an anti tunnel measure as if you get the heal mid chase the killer will probably give up as to not waste too much time

If not just get on a gen and be efficient with your time.

Sure the only effective part is the heal but healing passively is very powerful considering how much time healing can potentially waste in a match.

It’s pretty solid right now imo

It doesnt help tunneling if you get hit before 20s mark. BT does that job better.

If it allowed me to use jet pack in a match maybe it would be solid.

Surviving 20 seconds off an unhook isn’t hard especially with your exhaustion perk up. It’s good for when your teammates doesn’t have bt( very common in solo) so long as your a decent looper

Dont create best case scenarios to prove that a perk is decent...

I can literally make Monstrous Shrine look good this way. So if you have 2 people on a hook in the basement chances are they will reach second stage before somebody can run past me blocking the entrence to the basement. Therefore pretty solid perk in current meta.

Inner strength is literally better version of second wind. You can do it at best up to 5 times. Also takes 20 seconds. You can heal when you choose. You can choose to be healed by others. Doesnt get cancelled by getting hit.

Inner strength is definitely better but second wind still has uses.

Monsterous shrine is just bad period as only one of the three stats can be useful and even that is only 9%

Best case scenario with second wind is that you get off hook and double up on a gen. by the time you’re healed the gen is about half way done which is huge time efficiency.

Second wind requires you to cleanse a totem which can be wasted time depending if it’s a hex or not. Healing people is usually not a waste of time depending on killers. Also inner strength requires up you to be in a locker while second wind just does it passively

Wait, it will ruin the heal with borrow time? Well... F.

Yep, I said the same when they announced the buff. It's strictly a SWF perk where you can coordinate saves and heals. It's a complete waste in solo queue compared to other perks you can run instead.
