Funny Stuff: You Want A Little Cheese With That Whine?
So I'm tutoring a friend in how to play Myers. He doesn't have a lot of Perks to work with yet, nor does he have the hours I do so he likes to run NOED. He bought it with his Blood Points. The game sold it to him. It isn't up to me to judge. I don't run it, but that isn't a fair comparison because I never really used it well. I'm not an End Game Player. So naturally, when I tutor him, I'm trying to get him to NOT be an End Game Player either. Now you have some context. He is learning what I call Spooky Myers (Scratched Mirror + Boyfriend's Memo).
He puts in a Lery's Offering, and runs Play With Your Food, Agitation, Iron Grasp, and NOED. And if you count me sitting behind him giving advice, I suppose that would be his 5th Perk. He gets the map he wants and proceeds to literally destroy the players. They let the first Survivor (who turned out to be a Rank-1) die on first hook in the basement. They never made a serious attempt to get him. Then they proceeded to stay in the immediate area (for the most part) trying to force the same Generators over and over again. My pupil would easily down (or grab) them and take the to the basement. Obviously he got a 4K.
The salt began almost immediately. He is a "trash" Killer and some stronger stuff. One of them kept harping about NOED. This was funny because NOED never got close to activating. Why would you complain about a Perk that never happened? My pupil, dedicated and polite, tried to explain what they did wrong and how they could have fought him better, but they were having none of it. It was very surreal watching one of these salty screeds third person rather than being on the receiving end of one of them. My friend asked me, "how often do you have to listen to that stuff?" I said, "I barely notice anymore so I can't tell you."

This game (and forum) have some of the biggest sore losers I have ever met in my 23+ years of online gaming (I started with Ultima Online). The forums are a hilarious example of participation trophy syndrome and hyperbole. Best advice for a new player: Ignore end game chat.
