Why are queue times so long?
I don't get it guys. Why are the queue times so long???
I was the fourth survivor.
Maybe its about time we start limiting perks for both sides? Stacking second chance perks and stacking slowdown should be a no go.

Queue times are so long as very few people want to play killer due to how stressful it can be, as one mistake can cost you the game sometimes.

After the DS nerf, they just need to nerf the remaining top 10 survivor perks, then buff the 30 worst survivor perks (and 40 worst killer perks). It'll take time (too much), but we'll get there probably.

the solos in lobby should also get pick priority on perks if they do those sort of tourny style limits, otherwise personally if I saw a likely swf player snatched what I needed on top of having to wonder if it would be a selfish or unselfish swf I'd start dodging swf lobbies myself even as survivor regardless of queue lengths. If it got out of hand I'd just permauninstall. Unlike others, I can do it, I went almost 4 years straight without touching or even thinking about the game again until the forced bamboozle on vault spam and pyramid head release last year. I played a handful of times int he past 3 months or so and only a handful of matches usually those times. I've had more fun talking chit on boards about the game than playing it lol (like many modern games). so not a problem cuttin it for good next time they show they'll never learn at behavior.

Not sure what queue times have to do with perks?
My queue times depend more on the time of day. In the afternoon, survivor queue times are so fast, when I start searching for a match and open my bloodweb to level a bit, I'm in a lobby before I have the chance to buy even a single node. If I try to play killer, I'm waiting much, much longer.
At night, survivor queues have always been much longer and killer queues faster, but they're still faster these days than months ago.
It could just as well be that the evening is the time when people want to virtually meet up and play with their friends, for which the survivor role is somehow better suited than killer.
Btw, I'm not bothered if I see survivor loadouts like those in the screenshot. For my killer playstyle, it means three survivor are playing with just two perks each.

Play killer if queue times for survivors are long. It would be enough if every fifth person would switch to killer...

I play Killer all the time. Played Killer for 3 hours before this one. It gets incredibly boring because majority of survivors are complete bots. These guys are all 3 running DH/DS which is the most boring perk combo in DBD. I see it consistently in my Killer matches and its one of the reasons why killer is so boring. I'm fine with DS, but DH and sprint burst are so painfully boring to deal with and see every single match.

Not true, before crossplay the queue times at night for PC players were only 3-4 minutes which wasn't bad at all. The problem is how incredibly boring it is to deal with these same perks every single killer match. I am perfectly fine with DS and I love object of obsession. But to see Dead Hard or Sprint Burst almost every single match whether the survivor is good or bad is painfully boring to deal with after your second killer match.
I played killer for 3-4 hours before this match. I only played to do dailies/farm stats for the DBD leaderboards. It is incredibly boring as you win almost every match because every survivor is a complete bot and every single match has at least one dead hard user and one sprint burst user. It is incredibly boring to play.

Ok, you played killer, so that's good, you did your part. The problem is that we need more people like you.
Or maybe the matchmaking could treat people who play both roles with higher priority as a reward.

you make it sound like you're talking about how community service and donating your valuable time at the dead by daylight soup kitchen could make dbd great again. I just had to lul. If something isn't fun, it becomes work, so if they're not gonna be paying me to do it I won't do it unless they offer something else to incentivize me that appeals to me and feels worth the exchange. When queue length is too long I play something else entirely, if they want faster queues they can play another game or work at the dbd soup kitchen themselves but I am not obliged.

Or another idea I had was to give some Bloodpoint multiplier when there aren't enough killers, e.g. 1.25x. Maybe that would attract more people to play killer and as an effect shorten the wait times.

As I said it would be enough if every FIFTH person would switch to killer. If you hate to play killer then you don't have to switch.
Playing other game also shortens the queue times, but not as good as playing killer.

I would also like to see the more powerful perks be limited, but then people would fight over who gets what. Players would dodge and it would slow queue times even further. It's just one of those nice things we can't have in the real world.

Killer isn't fun anymore. That's why survivors have long queues.

Whats the problem that they run good Perks? Why did you not show your Perk Build as well? Probably because its pretty similar as well?
There is nothing wrong with running good Perks on both sides. Object is the only dumb Perk I see in your picture and this will, hopefully, getting nerfed.

I'm confident it won't, that they'll make it something that sounds good on paper as part of their hustle but ultimately it will not have much of a beneficial impact for the killer in gameplay. They'd lose too much swf costume parties if they actually made the perk bearable for killers. Remember the goat see guy has said before that somebody is always supposed to feel frustrated after a match. they would rather it be 1 killer than 4 costume buying swf.
Even rito pandered to premades and their enthusiasm to buy skins when they let 4 and 5 man premade s steamroll the ranked/duo mode and called it 'dynamic queue'. that was the lasts eason i ever played of league. I heard it took them a year to realize it was a bad decision, but, at least unlike behavior they have the sense to listen when enough people hate a decision and they don't make many so bad it's on that level. By the time it was undone I had so much to catch up on and mechanically I was clumsy again, so i never bothered practicing to get back into it. But eventually forgave them for it though since they realized the error of their ways and weren't arrogant about it, it was just about money, no "I know better than you" mindset like behavior has along with the greed. That season saved me from my former addiction to that game lol.

I am pretty sure that they will stick to the Object-Rework. Most of the Survivor players are not using the Perk, so they wont be affected anyway. And from those who use it, a good portion knows how busted it is.
I think there is only a really small amount of players who will actually be offended that Object is getting a Nerf. And an even smaller portion of players who actually think the Perk is fine.

hopefully. when I played the game for the first time in nearly 4 years again last year, somebody showed me object in swf and we were usually a 3 man that sometimes used the solo as bait. we won almost every single game and I had mostly played killer in 2016 so wasn't even that good a survivor especially after 4 years. iirc, he was also experimenting with off the record too at the time. I don't know what it all looked like from our tank's perspective, but even he got out too sometimes. It was pretty funny but at the same time extremely unfair to both the killer and the solo in the matches.

My perk builds was Mettle of Man, Iron Will, Calm Spirit, and WGLF. No items, event offering.
Object is fine as a perk. It doesn't affect chases or swing the match in any favorable direction. An actual good SWF will probably destroy you regardless if they have object or not.
I didn't show my build because my name was something inappropriate (not TOS breaking), but it was Killer's *** <3

I play between Noon EST and 9pm EST and I think the longest time I have waited the past month or so is maybe 5 minutes. Most wait time are anywhere from 90 seconds to 3 minutes for me. I play Purple/Red rank and have played solo as well as SWF. I don't think 2-4 minutes is a long wait.

I used to be in your time zone, it gets really bad after 9 PM EST. Usually 5+ minutes. Before crossplay, daytime would be instant queues and night time would be around 3-4 minutes.

I'm actually playing right now (almost 1am EST) and wait times are not bad - maybe 3-5 minutes as purple rank solo survivor. I haven't had a long wait time in quite some time (months).

I don't agree with limiting perks, because if you do it for one side you're gonna do it for both, and killers can't take that hit. It's scummy that survivors can put on DS, Unbreakable, and Soul Guard together, and it's lame that Ruin disables gen kicking, but I think people should be allowed to run the perks they want. I'm gonna give them hell if they DS me after I hooked someone else and they were working on a gen while injured, but they have the right to run that perk. But yeah, if y'all want the que times for survivor to be better, you've got to stop abusing perks in that manner, and never tbag or click at the killer.
