Nerf Noed &DS AFAP

Everyone is constantly complaining about Decisive Strike it is too strong. Or it would not be fun to play against the perk. Arguments like first having to hit the wiggle DS, arguments like counterperks, arguments like dribbling are all not worth mentioning. But the Noed can easily be destroyed, that's argument enough to say that the perk is perfect in the current progress of the game? Nerfing this perk is just as overdue as nerfing DS! No, only DS, because the Devs hate Survivors, contrary to the nonsensical Killermain opinion they would prefer the Survivorside so much.
Ever since NOED was buffed, so many killer have played this bs perk. And surprise: There are a lot of NOED-1 here. Great! It's so much fun to be punished as a survivor that the killer either played badly or that your team played very well, or both. The killers are always really proud of their spontaneous 4 kill results. Please nerf this perk, nerf finally DS and make sure that you never again!, publish such ######### Perks again. It can not be that hard to have an equally strong perk, which is fair and balanced at the same time. And

And then the killer is forced to find the totem, like the survivors. And because it's a Survivor Belonging you cant see it. Until then the Survivors rushing the gens. Great idea, genius.

Honestly I'd just prefer the old NOED if they're going to keep the exposed effect. Once the gates are powered just give killers exposed for 80/100/120 seconds but notify everyone the killer has it. Haunted Grounds is a thing and survivors handle that pretty well now so I wouldn't be against old NOED existing since they want to stick with the exposed effect idea.

Also main reason to use NOED is it's actually useful at t1 to people who don't have perks now. If NOED was a teachable almost no one would use it because barely anyone grinds to unlock perks unless it's like BBQ. It's the same reason people use Iron Grasp instead of Agitation is because Iron Grasp is just a general perk while Agitation is a teachable.

    dude... noed got actually nerfed.
they only evened out the seperate tiers by giving noed 1 and 2 the exposed effect, but overall the perk got nerfed in its stats.

I see NOED a lot but... when I'm at the gate I well it's already too late for it to matter I mean the killer never comes to me plus by the time he gets to me the gates open and I just run out. Now IDK whats happening in your game maybe the killer caught you before you reached a gate that or maybe you were t-bagging the guy and well NOED made you regret it or he camped one of your friends... either way I still view the perk as bad because well... it's a Hex perk and most of the time they spawn in crappy areas and when I tried it out it was quickly taken out or never popped because there was no totems.

Now again I rather have perks preventing survivors from doing gens or slowing them down than "oh you messed up this perk will attempt to catch you since you fell" like the gates are open at best I might get 1 to 2 kills but hey that's just me and well I view the perk as crap.

And the fact that now everyone hunts totems because they know NOED is being played more. I honestly don't like NOED but this wasn't a buff to the perk so I don't know why people complaining (you know aside from "this is the internet").

Better than what we have now.
Apparently the devs are too scared to swing the nerf hammer as it would be appropiate, so I am just gasping for anything.

At some point you would find the totem on your patrols anyway (assuming it would be as badly hidden as killer totems are)

Noed is fine, we have 5 whole gens to prevent it from going off and is only active for as long as the gate takes to open.

Make DS a hex perk, the totem glows in a different color (maybe red) and can be destroyed by the killer by simply hitting it. Once its gone, DS is a dead perk (for all survivors), just like a classic hex perk

As long as DS is constantly active while the totem is up with unlimited uses.

Easy solution: TotH should give a notification even if survivors try cleansing a dull totem.
It should also give silent skill checks to totems or a random effect.
Because right now it's a pointless perk.

Lol that would be a nerf. The notifications are distracting and abusive as it is.

It would be better if they made cleansing speed split between all survivors currently working on totems, and maybe coupled with a chase buff near the totem.

NOED should either have some sort of tell during the normal game or it should have some requirement to activate other than "when exit gates power". Something the killer must do before they can get it, like maybe having survivors collectively bleed for X time, whatever would require them to hunt down and make a few catches not just 1 hook's worth of blood.

Only the obsession should get to use DS. For every instance of DS in the group make the skill check zone larger (shown by a number on the perk for all survivors using it). This forces people who want to be the obsession to take other obsession perks. Also survivors need at least 2 more obsession based perks to offset to the 5 killers have (and because OoO and SS suck).

Pink mori's should require a hook on a survivor AND a minimum of at least 2 hooks (on anyone, so 2 different survivors or 2 on same survivor).

Yellow mori's should work like green mori's for obsession only. Otherwise it works like it does now. It shouldn't make an obsession spawn though unless someone has an obsession perk.

BNP should just make the great skill check zone ginormous at the cost of efficiency so it can be a hard counter to Ruin.

No. That's an awful idea because it forces survivors to harass each other to use a perk they each earned.

Players using DS should just have a UI indicator visible to everyone. That way the killer isn't caught off guard and the survivors need to work together to get DS to proc at all for non-obsessions. It will also make it easier for solo survivors to get assistance/help others with the perk, without having to change anything about it.

The problem as killer is that you have to deal with up to 4 instances of this perk. When you get hit with 1 that's bad enough, 2 is really bad, and 3 or 4 is just a loss no matter what you do. It's kinda dumb only 1 person should get to use it. And it's not like you wouldn't get the full benefit of the perk, if the skill check were larger for the 1 guy that can use it and they can hit it easy that's good for everyone. As I stated, 1 DS = powerful so to ensure that guy gets DS helps everyone. There is no reason you should get to DS the killer if you are not the obsession.

The noed changes was pretty much how it should be from the very beginning. It's called "no one escapes death" for a reason. I'm pretty sure getting smacked at the exit once then exiting is called escaping death. Why don't you cleanse the 5 totems? How hard is it when gens get rushed to ######### anyways? Extending the game by a minute for the killer isn't really game breaking.

A perk can never be OP if it has a very clear and easy counter no matter how strong it is if it works. Can't say the same thing about DS so this comparison of these two perks is honestly ridiculous.

Preach it my man! I agree 100% regardless of how powerfull it is, it has such an easy counter, which bqrely slows down the game to get rid of.

NOED is everywhere now but it seems part of a trend of making tiers 1-3 of a perk barely any different.

Basically I think we are on course for a single tier of every perk which is something they have talked about before I think in order to lessen the grind.

dribbling only works if the survivor gets downed under a hook which is his fault basically
Mori only works after you have hooked the survivor, so he got the chance to DS already
    Slugging doesnt kill survivors
Enduring weakens the stun effect, but survivor still gets free and is usually capable to make it to the next loop
Rancor doesnt work during the game

    Nice counters bro

Yup, "counter" doesn't mean "completely negate". Obviously survivors need tools against killers. I'd be up in arms too against any truly OP survivor (or killer) perk. I don't think DS is one.
Actually, when playing survivor I never use it, because it feels like a wasted perk slot. It's not that hard to down the survivor after a successful DS in just a few seconds, especially now that Enduring is more popular, thanks to Enduring+Spirit Fury combo. (I guess I don't much care about DS because I often use this combo.)

I get it that DS is annoying, especially when you get hit with it more than one time in a game. But I still feel complaining about it as pointless as complaining about NOED, tunneling and all the other usual stuff people complain about.

A counter is somethign that works effectively against a certain strategy, the stuff you listed arent counters, you can call them "weak counters" at most if you want to use that word.

THe counter to noed is cleansing totems for example, it completely negates its effect and its basically as if the killer didnt pick the perk and runs a 3 perk slot. Thats what a real counter is.

And yes, DS is truly overpowered, no doubt and even the devs acknowledged that.
If you dont use DS anyway, then you would be fine with a nerf anyway

If looping wasnt such a big thing, DS would be a lot weaker

One perk can be used only once. The others can be used on all four survivors, if they survived for that long.

Look, not trying to be devil's advocate, but I would still say most of the hatred towards DS comes from the fact that it's very annoying (I know it is, especially after a chase that took too long), rather than it being a very effective survivor tool.

One perk can only be used once by each and every Survivor, with almost zero input from the Killer. The other can be used on all four Survivors if the Survivors don't break totems and never leave the trial. Both perks put the power in the Survivors' hands. It's time to stop pretending NOED and DS are equal.

Yes. Except non-obsession DS survivors already have that benefit from playing in SWF. This is the same reason why the devs chose not to implement the DS change: because only SWF benefits from the current and proposed iteration. Having the indicator available to everyone will allow SWF to help solos, and solos to help other solos.

Also no, because the Killer will know who has DS and who does not. It will no longer be a surprise, and they will be far less likely to be caught by it by going to the nearest hook. It will not be an issue now that hooks are evenly spread out across the map.

If you get hit by 4 DSes when you know each and everyone one of them is coming, then you deserve it. The only reason non-obsession DS works is because killers don't know that they have it.

Your proposition will have SWFs bullying solos to unequip DS and then sandbagging when they don't get their way.

Also no, because the Killer will know who has DS and who does not. It will no longer be a surprise, and they will be far less likely to be caught by it by going to the nearest hook. It will not be an issue now that hooks are evenly spread out across the map.

I don't think that knowing as a killer that someone has DS will help him a lot, especially if other survivors just start body blocking him. This will just encourage the killer to slugg like a crazy man, nothing else, because that would be the only counter for him.
I agree with you that solo survivors in general need the same amount of information that swf survivors get with communication. But regarding DS, that perk just needs a rework. Just like NOED.
It's just no fun to get your progress wiped out like that because of one perk.
