Survivor ego
You surv mains need to learn to take a loss. Juat because you lost doesnt mean there is something the killer did wrong. Sometimes he just beat your tail. Plain and simple.
Every game lately its always one surv has to comment on the "reason" he didn't escape. And then leave chat real quick like he mic dropper or something ๐. Cmon guys just stop already. You can actually fail sometimes. Its not the end of the world and you're not less of a person because of it.
What happened to "ggs" and "glhf"?

I think both sides have people like this. It's not just survivors and it's not just killers.

I don't say GG anymore because I have the chat disabled. It is only salt and cross-play players that can't chat anyways.

But they're not.

In my experience it's mostly swf who have to be salty even if they win some are salty and people like that ruin it for everyone else. One killer may get hate mail from swf and decide next match they are gonna go out of their way to make it miserable for the survivors.

How can you say they're not the same when Killers can literally have an ego and make up excuses in end-game chat as well.

Killers are not likely to type at the end because they are isolated. But they show their toxicness in game as much as survivors from what I have seen.
Killers are not played by aliens. Like survivors they are humans who would go wild if they played in a team because they are not alone. I mean who will stand up for the killer at the end chat?

I've never been attacked by a Killer in end-game chat. Not once. Not ever. Killers simply do not spew vile comments in end-game chat with the frequency of Survivors. I believe people that anecdotally say it happens, but it's so rare it's not worth mentioning. Meanwhile, Survivor ego is so insanely out of control that their end game salt could carry an entire pretzel company and there are Youtubers that dedicate their entire channel to collecting and displaying all the insane end-game reactions they get from salty Survivors. There is no such Killer equivalent.

I would agree with most of that, sure. I know when I get mad as a Killer in end-game chat I just hit CONTINUE and move on. So you are probably right about the isolation factor.

I usually move on to. But when survivor starting with their mouth in a disrespectful way I come back at him so bad that I got banned a couple times lol

There's no way you could possibly know what the true frequency is. Anecdotal evidence isn't going to cut it.

Sure but it's important to remember that just because something as a 60% chance of happening it doesn't take away from the fact that 40% of the chance it will happen.
You have to look at the whole instead of just the part. Sure most survivors can be terrible but it's unreasonable to claim that every survivor is terrible.

But you have to mention everything and not just look at the part. By not mentioning that killers do it too you perpetuate an unreasonable idea that killers can do no wrong while survivors are just this terrible awful thing. Which is bad and cause problems.

Umm no for one... no 1 here said that all survivors or that way. And 2 no one said killers can do not wrong. Just that survs do it more which you'll find most agree with.
You cant just put extreme meaning to the debate that doesn't exist just to try to nullify its truth. Thats just ridiculous.

Then again, when you're playing killer you can't really experience another killer in the chat.

I'm not trying to add extremes here, that's not my intentions and I would agree logically survivors do it more.
And sure he didn't say that all survivors are bad or killers can do no wrong but I feel it can be inferred that that's the case if you don't mention that both sides can do it. And that I feel can have negative effects.

If your saying that people don't need to be told those kinds of things then I would sorta disagree. People can interpret things in many different ways and in some ways that are completely incorrect. You could have a person use that interpretation to be toxic to all survivors. It's possible.
So in order to relive that ambiguity and destroy the possibility of that happening we should be more specific and clear.
(Do I sound like the thought police? Because I don't want to sound like them)

I didn't say it doesn't happen at all. I, in fact, said I believe people that say it has happened to them anecdotally. Please read my previous posts before you make a false claim about my statements.
I said it happens so rarely that there isn't even enough comparable evidence to put it side by side with the Survivor equivalent.

Here is a Youtuber that has dedicated his channel to collecting Survivor Salt. Lots of it. Death threats, hostile PSN messages, the works.
Now, support your argument. Show me a Youtuber that has dedicated their channel to collecting Killer salt.
If you can't, then your "there is always an equivalent" argument is false.

Toxicity on both sides is a thing. My central point is that said toxicity is NOT EQUAL by any measure and is as lopsided as all BAD WORD. Especially when it comes to attacking other players in end game chat.

I do, if Killer did nothing wrong and other survivors just put in "ez just go back to rank 20" ect.
If Killer does toxic and other survivors responding back, I just leave and say nothing.

It's something thats never gonna go away.
To many people have these big egos because they think they are the best and no one can beat them.
They have to relize its a game and theres no point on getting wound up about it.

Obviously toxicity exists on both sides but I have never, in my almost 4 years of playing received a negative message from a killer. They might deliberately try to be a dick during the game, such as closing the hatch and watching me bleed out, but theyโve never then messaged me anything.
From survivors however, Iโve received a ton of hate lol. I donโt just mean petty comments either, weโre talking abusive and vile messages, because they died...in a video game.
I wonโt claim that killers donโt ever message people rude things as Iโm sure they do. But I struggle to believe it occurs anywhere near as often as it does from survivors.

The disproportion is mainly numbers, there are more survivors in game ergo there is more opportunity for salty comments from survivors.
Also when you have a team mentality vs a single oponent, its easier to level your disdain at the oponent than your team mates. Even if the team was poor and the oponent playing a good clean game. So there is actually less of a behavioural barrier to abusing the killer over abusing your teammates.
We are all human, we all have egos and we all get pissed off at some point. The goal is to maintain a lil dignity and not let your ego and emotions overide your common sense.
Online competitve gaming can bring out the worst in people because its virtually zero consequence and its predominately anonymous.
Just remember that salty comments in endgame chat be them abussive, threatening or even gloating over a win say more about the abuser than the abused.
Repeat offenders are just wearing a big flag that says I'm a crappy insecure person and that makes me a crappy insecure gamer.

I'm some ways this is a good thing- chats tend to be awful. But, it bites because if someone had a great run and it was a fun match I (as a switch player) can only give props and the rest of the world can't see that. There is not a way for that person to see that I've payed them a compliment.
There's a lot of times where I'd like to tell a killer "gg well done" or another surv "thanks for the save!" But I can't in any form.
I know with the recent bugs and new content coming up the devs have full hands, but maybe they can at least make it so we can see who has given up props??
**Disclaimer I personally know it's a game and if it's a bad run then it's my fault or I got matched with a killer who's flexing and the odds of being rematched are low- I tend not to get too mad so my personal likely hood of sour messages are v low, this doesn't go for all but *shrug*

Most of the times it happens it's when you're against a SWF. They know how the game become extremely unbalanced once you get 3 or 4 people in coms, so they think they're entitled to winning. Most of the time when they start bringing excuses and the "camper/tunneler" "strat" I just say "ok, ggs, go try to bully another killer" and leave chat, so they can mald alone.

I think because of the 4v1 nature of the game it's very easy for survivors to gang up on the Killer.
I was playing a Solo Q game the other day as a survivor, we had a Billy who destroyed us at 4 gens remaining. Someone suicided on their first hook at 5 gens, so it was an obvious loss.
It got to two of us left, I was hooked, Billy was patrolling the area close to me, obviously this game was done, anyway. I got unhooked, had BT, but I just stood at the hook and pointed as I didn't want to prolong any longer. Billy was close by anyway on a nearby hill, and swooped in and killed us both.
In the postgame chat the other survivor immediately kicked off on the Killer with "nice camping".
I told him to shut up as clearly the Billy had just destroyed us, the game was pointless to continue. I said if you want to blame someone, blame our TEAMMATE who suicided on his first hook.
The other survivor said "yeah fair enough", and left.
The billy then thanked me.
I think the survivor here was angry at a loss, I just found it very interesting he immediately attacks the Killer in the lobby for an action he made in the last 10 seconds of an otherwise very dominant game. As soon as I sided with the Killer, the other survivor backed down straight away.
It just seems almost a default mode for some survivors to assault the Killer in the post game lobby, as soon as I indicated I wasn't going to team up on the Killer, he just totally backed down and left. Was quite odd.

I have to now... I want to say GG and all, but people keep insulting each other and sometimes it's even me. Like, "you useless because my SWF lost". I mean, I'm a solo Survivor.
People do mistakes, no need to insult them. I don't insult the ones leading the Killer to me because they had no idea I was there. I'm not insulting because they get downed ten seconds after the start of the match, and so on, and so on...
I can't even enjoy the nice people having nice conversation in the end game chat because of the ones who just want to let you know how much angry they are because they lost.

You're not being completely serious, are you? Obviously you won't see as many toxic killers because it's 4 survivors per 1 killer. Lower chances doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Couple of things....
First off, let's not assume that everybody is capable of looking inward and reflecting on their own mistakes and misdeeds. Deflection is a coping mechanism far too many people use and it's hard to break. It took me to my middle age years before I started realizing what a fool I'd been and stopped blaming others for my own short-comings in a game.
Secondly, let's not pretend this is a survivor thing because I see my fellow killer mains pulling this bs too.
Lastly - I personally keep my mouth shut most of the time if the other team got destroyed. I know personally that a GG when I know I did badly and could of done so much better feels condesending and I'd much rather people just stay quiet if they utterly destroyed me. To me, trash talking me feels so much more honest than a GG when it really wasn't. I know in my head that it's meant out of politeness, but emotionally it feels like salt in the wound. Just say nothing.
