When is a chapter good?

This is really interesting. When is a chapter successful and good?

For me it is if the chapter theme is fitting/interesting, if the killer is unique, his power has a clear purpose and is mindfully balanced, if the survivor is appealing to me and if at least the perks are unique or/and useful. I don't care about how op or super strong a killer or perk is, but it has to be at least okay.

What are your thoughts? Especially now with the ptb.

Interesting theme, fun & good killer, balanced map, fun & balanced perks for both sides are all criteria

a chapter doesn’t need to meet all these requirements however.

Stranger Things introduced a map many don’t like and a killer with weak perks & add-ons but I still consider it successful for the 2 survivors & their perks it brought.

Mainly the killer. Darkness among us released one of the most hated killers which is probably one of the reasons Jeff is forgotten

Probably never tbh, everyone will always have something to complain about
