Did the ooo changes go on ptb?
Above I didn't see anyone talk about it
Edit what did you think about the suggested ooo change

No, the OoO change was a proposed change, not confirmed to go through. It was something that we were looking at feedback on, and if it changes it will be done in a future update.

The new Object has the potential to be a strong perk but I'd rather take that instead of what we have now.

Nope, just the incorrect butchering of DS.
1 -
Incorrect butchering?
What do ya mean by that?
2 -
I think he doesn't like the new DS.
3 -
Hah, now that's just pathetic, honestly.
At long last, the DS perk has finally been taken off it's throne.
Maybe it's not that far down, but now, it's an actual anti-tunnel perk now.
4 -
Ohh lord the children started talking about ds it has been changed and now it is what it is
1 -
It's still just as strong as it always was, you're just not allowed to put yourself back into the game and progress it without acknowledging that no, you are in fact not being tunneled, so the anti-tunnel perk shuts off. That's perfect. Stops actual tunneling and doesn't punish efficient killers for downing someone else, hooking them, and then finding the initial target on a gen when they go back to gen patrol. If they're on a gen, they're not being tunneled.

I digress, though.
I'm excited for the OoO nerf as well. The survivors will probably find something else to call 'the new king o' perks', but at least the most annoying one will have been adjusted, and the next one about to be hit with an incoming nerf.

It is not an actual Anti-Tunnel Perk. And it never has been, a Killer who wants to tunnel will not be prevented by DS at all.
1 -
If They give new ds a ability to say remove grunts of pain and scratch marks for 10 seconds after the killers been stunned, then that kinda prevents the killer getting back on you after getting Dstriked since you kinda leave a trail back to you after Dsing basically right now. So they could test some new stuff to buff it now that its abusive side is mostly gone.
3 -
This topic is now about Decisive Strike, apparently.
7 -
Hardly. If a killer is actually tunnelling, and that survivor plays well enough to survive longer than 60 seconds while not performing any actions to progress the game, DS still deactivates. It is now an anti tunnelling perk that only has an effect if you don't manage to play better than the killer.
1 -
Nothing short of 100% invincibility will. DS is the best perk to discourage tunneling to ever exist and it still will be.
1 -
It seems like any post can be changed to be talking about DS on this damn forum.
1 -
Have any of you heard of a perk called noed? I think it warrants some discussion, ideally here
2 -
There are other forms about it and you could start your own

The joke is that this thread about OoO turned into a thread about DS.

Do not deny me, brother

Yes, something like this. 10 seconds no grunts of pain, Scratchmarks and Bloodtrails. Even the strongest Killers would need to locate the Survivor before going after them again. Currently, a Nurse can blink after a Survivor immediatly, with changes like this, even she would not be able to do that (if the Survivor is actually acting smart, if they are just running in LoS, its their fault).
Sure it would still not prevent tunneling completely, but it might give the Survivor the chance to actually get away.

Then some1 will bring up hatch or adrenaline. Then some1 else will bring up ruin or corrupt or whatever. Then we'll go on to keys. Next up is slugging, tunneling and camping. Gen rushing, SWF, hook farming. Afk killers. Suicide on hook survivors. Dead hard. BBQ. Kindred. Op killers. Op survivors. Etc. Etc. Eventually we'll get back to OoO. There I've gone through the journey for you.

Sorry I think for myself so no but thanks for the offer

Fair most people think for them selves at least I hope they do

Please keep this thread on Topic - it's about OoO not DS!

Basically
Here we can bring it back
What do you think of the suggested ooo change

It's actually not an anti-tunnel perk now, and that's the issue. It never functioned for that, only as a bully perk, but at least its existence meant people might have a better game even if they weren't running it. Now, it's pointless for the use it's meant to exist for, which is to cover up for horrible game design.
And the devs got a ton of good feedback that suggested this, with vaslty improved ideas rather than the stupid Bhvr brand 'we didn't actually think for ourselves and used the first idea given to us by a specific biased group without any forethought' version we've gotten.
As for the suggested OoO change; it's not perfect, but by and large, it's much more favourable than what we have now, and as a whole, the community agreed that it would be better to have that than have the current form of the survivor having total control over when they get such powerful information. This could have gone through, but the DS change shouldn't have until they actually bothered to think 'how can we actually make this perk counter tunneling?' Which very clearly didn't happen, and very clearly doesn't seem to be the level of thought that occurs within the balance team for other changes, such as the release of MoM (seriously, what were they thinking!?) and the new hex perk which while not necessarily OP, is punishing survivors for the wrong reasons with no inpuit from the other side.
