Trickster is game changing
Now obviously the title baits you in on actual gameplay but I think the trickster opens new avenues for what future killers can be. The trickster is a very non scary killer that plays more like an action game which means he opens up the game to new killers we would never think of seeing. Killers like John wick who has to kill survivors to see his dog again would be just as intimidating as the trickster and are now possible. Now if this is positive or negative will be seen later, but I do like all the potential avenues for cross overs the new killer presents. We could even get marvel assassins like elektra showing up in the game (which would somehow be more intimidating than the trickster).

My post wasn't about his gameplay lol. Everyone knows he sucks but it's more of the fact that he is not scary in the slightest and John wick would be scarier (which is sad)

this is the devs attempt to get the Comunity to accept a 110 killer that has a dog$#!% power.

if this is the way you want killers to be in the future...... have fun with bots because killers above rank 19 know this killer is garbage.
(You know a killer is bad when even if you made him 115, he’d still be weak)

Darth Vader is now a possible killer in DBD. Maybe they'll add in big wheel from Spiderman too.

I read your post. Simply don’t care about his aesthetics. I care about the devs playing against each other during initial testing and thinking that this killer is soooooo powerful he should be 110.
if that doesn’t disturb the Comunity nothing will. killer dlc drive this game and if this is what we are to expect..... yikes.

I should note that I am a rank 1 killer with 5k hours and his 110 doesn't bother me in the PTB as everyone knows he is gonna get more work before release.
What I will add iss even though he sucks, he is fun to play as and that matters more than if the killer is good or not.

Maybe this will open your eyes, I am a rank 1 killer with 5k hours and his 110 doesn't bother me at all. It is the PTB and he will get reworked.
What matters is he is fun to play as, which is more important than a killer being good or bad because a killer can get a full rework. We have seen this with legion, Freddy, and bubba.

This is the PTB. Killers who do not perform well in the PTB have traditionally been buffed by release.
Also, Pigs perception as a weak killer for so long shows what the hivemind community knows about what a good or bad killer is.

Did you ever think you have room to improve at the game? Maybe it's not BHVR's fault when you have a bad game. Obviously BHVR favors survivors but you gotta enjoy things instead of raging about a killer that hasn't come out yet..

Kinda? I mean it's a game about slashers, idk that John Wick fits that profile. The trickster is a kpop idol that tortured and killed people and used their screams in his music. People seem to forget that this isn't a horror game focused around atmosphere and adrenaline pumping suspense. It's about slashers, movies and shows that are pop icons filled with crude humor, comical and extravagant killing, and stories so shallow that they seem to be a parody of themselves.

I respect your point of view and open for a friendly debate? Also I don't want him in the game but, John wick killed more people than Freddy, ghost face, Meyers, and bubba combined tho. Again I don't want John wick in the game but if they can make a neon K-Pop star a killer then others could be made into a killer I feel. Though I value your opinion and respect if I don't change your mind!

Don't get me wrong, I'd be fine with pretty much anything. I just want the killers to be fun. Realistically though, I don't think this really opens up more options for killers. That's what people said with Demo, since he was the first non-humanoid killer which opened up the avenue for monsters and such. Unfortunately, that clearly didn't happen

Lol finally someone that actually read the post. I hope no killers like Darth Vader or Spiderman or anything that isn't slasher or horror but DBD has copied other companies before and the trend right now is adapting popular movies into your game, so I could see BHVR devs doing that if they needed the money tbh.

That is very true! Like werewolves and a vampire killer type deal haven't even been hinted at and I honestly feel like having a witch killer loosely based on the Blair witch would be interesting, though it isn't a monster.

We are all entitled to opinions and nobody should bash someone for having an opinion so I respect it! I am probably more desensitized to horror as I try to watch every horror movie that releases.

Good do know we have the definition of what the game is. Nice line you drew there. John Wick who kills with anything and everything doesn't fit but this travesty does because he records their screams. No Wick would been the better choice. But your right he doesn't fit here....along with mr kpop.

An assassin and a protagonist from a slasher are way different. I do think the trickster does fit though, especially considering a lot of the bright neon skins we have. We basically already had kpop killers and survivors.

Edward Scissor hands could work lore wise though. The entity took him, and even though he fought back he could not retain control and would be turned into a sadistic murderer. Something similar to wraith; he was a normal guy, he killed someone "Accidentally" and the entity took him to play in it's game. As far as a rainbow bright cosmetic, like I said, we already have stuff like that. So I think it's less that my logic contradicts itself and more that you don't understand what i'm saying

Why be so salty over someone's opinion, you could just say you disagree and respect their opinion? Everyone has their own ideas and it's okay if they disagree with your own ideas, but you don't have to be rude. Again just simply say you disagree and that's okay, most likely neither of you will change your opinion by going back and forth.
