Hook change idea - looking for people's opinions

There has been plenty of discussion as to whether hooks should be counted or kills.

I wanted to put forward an idea that would make them the same thing.


My idea could be Brought in lore wise something like "the entity grows more hungry and stronger and so wants more sacrifices"

When a killer gets a hook that survivor dies and the entity brings in a new survivor that is trapped in a cage "I think this would allow characters to do spins in the cages which should be more satisfying than waiting for an unhook"

Each survivor has 3 survivors with 3 builds maybe making it each perk can only be used once per survivor, when the first dies you spawn in as the second waiting for your cage to be opened by another survivor.

If all 4 survivors are sacrificed the first person who was hooked - their next survivor is unlocked, giving them another chance.

When the exist gates are opened, a person who's survivor gets out, their next survivor is unlocked from their cage this makes survivors want to leave fast and gives killers a second chance to get a kill if the game went bad.


It also makes hooks equal kills as to me, 8 hooks with 4 escapes doesn't feel satisfying but this way I imagine it would feel more satisfying for the killer side and more satisfying for survivor even if only one of their three survivors escapes. It also encourages the use of different perks through out the game as survivor so you see more interesting game play and better developed survivors.


This is something I've tried to think through I'm sure there are many flaws but I think it would help each side enjoy the game more and it would also help the game as people would want to buy more cosmetics for their 3 survivors. Over all I think it would be good to implement something like this, please let me know if you agree or disagree and why? Also if people like it, any way to get it to the devs for consideration?
