New Legacy in the possible future?
Alright so we all know that legacy was given to players on pc who had to go through an insane grind to prestige their characters when the game first came out. And I don't think that the legacy that they have should have go to other players. However, i was curious if we could ever get a new legacy? Like maybe a black one, a blue one, or just another kind of design. Here's my reason, there is alot of satisfaction in having exclusive cosmetics. For example, there was Davids lunar new year jacket and kates summer event shirt. I only had kates and I didn't have Davids, but I was fine with that. However I found it really stupid that the devs gave EVERYBODY those cosmetics, and now they are meaningless because everybody has them.
My idea for a new legacy is this. We had the whole bloodweb rework again because there was too much of a grind to get all the perks since there was alot more survivors and killers. And I expect in the future they may do another one since we keep getting more perks in the game. So what I think they should do is design a new kind of legacy, and give it to players who have their characters prestiged. And once this date passes, it would be impossible to achieve this legacy skin ever again, just like the original legacy. Obviously alot of people would have this legacy skin, but it would still be exclusive to that one and only time. What do you guys think?

I know what you mean. I do it myself. But when we are honest its stupid to use skins only bc they are rare.

No one grinded for Legacy. No one even knew if the game was going to be alive by the end of the year. The point was to give the players who stuck with the game at its infancy something to commemorate it by.
Adding a new Legacy (and bringing the old one back applies also) would ruin the whole point of it being 'Legacy'.
Bloody outfits for Prestige still exist and already fill the niche of an earnable cosmetic for levelling a character up.

I think a cool idea for a new legacy is like a red version that emits red fumes from the stained areas that you can earn in pieces. This can be achieved by a strenuous grind that involves giving players exclusive items for every checkpoint that they pass. For example, although this might take a long time, after getting a character to prestige 3 level 50, they can continue to a "master" level where they restart from scratch (but keeping the bloody set) that offers this:
- New Items
- New addons
- Cosmetic pieces (and sets) only available through these master bloodwebs
Every time that the player gains a master level, they are given a master cosmetic piece, up until master level 3, prestige 3 level 50, where the player not only gets the final cosmetic, but an alternate version of the set, along with things and benefits that can help in-game.
This is just an brain dump idea, so take it with a grain of salt, but feel free to give your ideas.

devs have stated while ago that legacy or how you like to call it " new legacy" wont be in the game it was one time thing and they dont plan to change it

We have exclusive event cosmetics. A lot of the event skins are exclusive for example last year's year of the rat shirts and the 4th anniversary crowns. Also, I think frosty eyes are exclusive etc.

See, this would be cool provided you don't have to start your character from 0 again. I have a bunch of characters P350'd with tons of event items on (like, 91 winter fire crackers on my Claudie I believe, as well as like 36 4th year beams) and I'd love a legacy type skin on them, but there is no way in hell I'd get rid of my event things for it.

maybe they can install a system where you keep your exclusive items, since they're a one - time thing.

This I could get behind; 101 Purple Beams on Claudette I can replace.
36 4th Year Beams I cannot.
And having to get rid of those would make the cows sad.

I think that would be creating more exclusivity just for the sake of exclusivity.
In nother words, completely pointless. Legacy doesn't even look all that well compared to the amazing skins art team is pumping out, people just want legacy because they can't have it.

Honestly I think this would best be done if it could only ever be achieved on one original character. But I'd be down for more unique looking cosmetics. There's never anything that's been quite as stunning in this game as legacy.

Oh yeah I don't think we should have to restart everything. I just meant that everyone who you already have prestiged would instantly get the new legacy, so you wouldn't get anything. Like if your trapper is p3, then it would get p3 new legacy. If your dwight is p1, then he would get p1 new legacy for only his shirt

I do not understand this line of thought. Take the 4th anniversary crowns, for example. It wasn't a difficult objective, but we all worked for it, didn't we? I couldn't care less if they give it for free to everybody. It still has a special meaning, because you know you worked for it back in the day. How is it different from your Howling Grounds and Scorching Summer BBQ cosmetics?

I do wish we had the ability to prestige different cosmetics for at least the original characters.
For example, I hate Claudette's original outfit so I've never wasted my time prestiging her even though I play her a lot in other outfits. If I could get bloodied versions of some of those, I'd definitely do it.
