This is normal. His reveal mechanic is broken. He gets a lot of his kills from it being like that.

I like Ghostface as a funny-mess-around Killer but once you hit purple rank, oh BOY.

I still have some things to learn, but gosh, every time I play him I feel I'm the real victim. Always one or two on my back, picking me out of my power, looping me for more if I try to chase them away then back to the "we're the stalkers, not you". So frustrating.

I think that he's the only one beside Trapper having a power being totally in control of the Survivors. Maybe even worse, at least disarming a trap give some valuable information to the Trapper. Like, thank you Killer Instinct, now I know that this guy from across the map and behind two walls revealed me, appreciated.

Ghostface's reveal mechanic is not broken. You are just doing it wrong. It has nothing to do with how your character is facing. You need to have Ghostface at the center of your screen. And it does not work if you can't see enough of his body.

Playing against Ghostface I have no issue revealing him ever, unless he is mostly hidden behind something, wich is working as intended.

Playing as Ghostface, you can clearly tell the difference beetween survivors who understand the mechanic and those who don't. The fomer will watch out for you and reveal you at any opportunity they get from very far away, while the later can't even do it while you are running at them with no obstacles in the way.

I am willing to believe that lag and desynch can cause the reveal mechanic to not work properly, but it is a latency issue, not a problem with the mechanic itself. And I have never experienced this issue in person.

Ghostface is the main killer I play. I've used the "stalking through the boarded up window" many times. It's not broken. It's not bugged. It's how it works. When reveal is done properly I get revealed every time. A lot of people just don't seem to understand how it works and they think it's broken.

I'm a purple rank killer but I play against red ranks nearly every game. He may not be the easiest killer, but imho he's the most fun. I get a lot of post game comments about how tense and fun the game was even when I 4K. Ghostface is exactly what DBD needs more of.

I know the reverse can happen, too. But I don't see Ghostface players mention it much. Whereas its a frequent issue survivors bring up. So I'm assuming its not something that happens as often to Ghostface players as it does to survivors.

From a personal perspective I don't play Ghostface, but from the survivor side I can say its something that happens in practically every match against him. No exaggeration. Even when he's fully visible. So if I mention often from the survivor perspective its because its that perspective that the issue is often raised from. Not trying to show a bias.

It happens to (when playing Ghostface) often. If not every match, every other match. I constantly get the "revealed but no killer instinct" thing. But I also have Survivors in the face not able to reveal me. Most of the time, if that's the case, I'll just hit them instead of marking them. That's BS. Ghostface just got thoroughly messed up from dedicated servers. There was a long period of time where Myers and his stalking was really bad. Like, 99 someones and then go away. When you stalk again, the 99'd person, who is nowhere near you, is suddenly fully marked. Or more common, especially with Michael, the stalking would just not work, or reverse itself. It's since then been fixed, but it made playing them unbearable at times.

I know it happens to survivors, I just think it's unfair to assume Ghostie gets most of his kills from his broken reveal. It's probably just from my personal experience, but if I've fully stalked someone it wasn't in the open and they haven't noticed me.

I wish all Ghostie players played it as fair as you did. I've not met a single one who did not take full advantage of it.

Just to clarify I never said he gets most of his kills because of it. I said he gets a lot, which is a fair assumption given the frequency of the complaints about it.

Ah, so you dd. I misread, my bad.

Unfortunately, it seems Ghostface attracts a lot of those types of players. I haven't been playing him much lately, sticking to Wraith most of the time, but Ghostface is generally my "relax and meme around character."

Smol Ghostface is one of my favorite builds in the game wholly because of how ridiculous it is.
