as we all know our next killer has been captured and taken away he now resides in a crappy b game with a even more toxic community. although he is the star in this game he is suffering, abused and neglected. many times he has tried to escape but they catch him every time. I of course am talking about our fallen comrade Jason Vorhees lost into the mist of Friday the 13th. BHVR we need a search and rescue party to infiltrate the premises and extract poor Jason from his prison. once extracted we will need to put him through many years of physical and mental therapy to help him get over the trauma he has endured he will most likely never fully recover and will probably suffer from PTSD. he will need our full support but maybe we can give him a happy life again. cmon everyone lets rescue our long overdue new killer!

    Uh, I'm not 100% sure, but the copyright holder of Friday the 13th will start legal stuff with anyone who tries to use anything about F13 in anything. It would be a very poor financial decision and would probably spell the end to Dead by Daylight along with F13: The Game.

    Did you read my first comment? The copyright holder to Friday the 13th will destroy BHVR. They do that to everyone who uses their IP. Feel free to want Jason in DBD, but at the same time you're also asking for the death of DBD.

    The true enemy to the Entity is financial bankruptcy, hence why he is avoiding Jason and the legal troubles he currently has surrounding him.

    friday the 13th is honestly not THAT bad of a game... but at the same time, it is pretty awful that they've been dealt a killing blow from the copyright holders. 

    even worse considering so many bought and paid for the game just to end up having lost money on it and further development/balancing being abandoned over it. 

    even more sad considering DBD is better off staying away from a character that would be such an amazing addition to the game. 

    but oh well, "wish in one hand..." right?

    Yea... I loves the game for quite some time... the animation/cinematic kills are pretty amazing.  the gameplay mechanics allow for a lot of fun/shenanigans... 

    but then there's a lot of counsellors who exploit every bug in the game and end up abusing the poor jason player to the point that the game isn't even fun anymore. 

    thats honestly what brought me to DBD to begin with. I DO wish Jason could be added, but considering the legal troubles friday the 13th is having... it would be a terrible idea.

    oh well, hopefully we will get some unlicensed creations to compensate for the loss of Jason.  xD

    i think its even more toxic poor Jason first unwanted reboots and then a half life as a dlc character and now stuck in a game where he is abused to no end

    maybe bhvr can slip friday the 13th the killer from a new beginning and before they find out it isnt jason hell already be in his best movie and a new member of the fog i think samnation put it best with Jason begging to join the killers and having nea drag him away

    F13 is honestly not that bad. It was supposed to simulate the movies (and did at first) but then it became plagued by bugs (every update seemed to create more of them) and whiny kids who just wanted to bully Jason (just like DbD).

    Except that the lawsuit is over, and granted the man in question rights pertaining to the original movie where the mother is the killer, and holds no bearing on any as they put it, "supenatural killer with a hockey mask". So even F13 could make new content with him now, but the team that was working on it moved on.

    So technically, they COULD reach out for licenses and not get shut down. They would just have to ask. Legal battle has been over for a month or two.
