Are AFK players trying to depip before rank reset?
I've had about three matches (2 as survivor, 1 as killer) where the Killer was AFK the whole match with perks I highly doubt a rank 19 would have and one where a Survivor who stayed AFK had all the crutch perks you expect but was rank 18. Maybe I'm overly suspicious, but I think they're purposely trying to lower their ranks. Why? Thinking cynically, to bully players in lower ranks. Thinking sympathetically, to avoid the hell that are the high ranks.

I think some people find the higher ranks stressful, and they might want to go back to lower ranks for playing a more chill game.
I don't say I approve, tho.
But I don't think all of them want to get back to lower ranks to bully players.

Won't say I afk'd but I've gone a few nights helping/memeing with survivors instead of trying to win to get out of purple ranks
I try to stay around rank 13-10 but sub rank 15 is too low to throw and takes too long. 15 and lower is typically where new players are too right? That seems kinda mean to drop that low
But purple ranks and up, the game sucks and I don't play this game to sweat after working all day.

Same. Unfortunately, earlier this month I reached rank 5 and I can say I basically had no fun at all this whole week. So while I don't sandbag people, nor afk, I'm doing my best to depip if I can or make myself offering to stay at green ranks. There is where you can meme and have fun, even when you die and not just experience a miserable death.

Some people are being afk for lowering their ranks which is quite common but sometimes after many wins at rows, some breaks and etc... some people turned afk or being friendly in the game. But being an AFK seems like people are try to lower their ranks.

Well, you cannot depip past rank 15. So more than likely you faced a survivor main doing killer dailies.

I'm sure there's some people who do this, bur cant imagine a lot. Sometimes People just have to go afk for whatever reason unexpectedly.

Really? I took a two month break and now my killer rank has dropped to 17.
