Should I get The twins or wait for new killer?

I'll vote for The Trickster simply since many don't find The Twins fun. I liked them, but I think the Trickster's more expressive animations and sounds make him more appealing.

Twins are obnoxious to play. On one hand, you are incentivized to use Victor as much as possible. However, he gets no benefits from perks, so you will need to tailor your build around what is useful for the time you play as Charlotte. Disco, BBQ, Ruin, Surveillance, all of these make her a sort of intel gatherer that howitzers an angry short man towards any bright colors. From there, she mostly becomes useless, as do your perks. I really think the Twins were not well designed at all. Yes, you will use her to get a few initial hits on groups when possible, which makes Victors job easier, but it's just not a fun playstyle. I have managed ONE GAME where I was able to break this and use Victor as a sort of scout that could defend himself, while piling on decent perks onto Charlotte to make her a bit more threatening despite being an M1 Killer. Since then, I have not been able to replicate that playstyle because it has too many caveats that are easy to abuse.

Trickster, on the other hand, can be a pretty fun chase Killer that punishes LoS. The only issue is that he seems to be made specifically to give Survivors that don't like taking real damage from range a bone. He feels week, his ranged attack feels sloppy, damage takes forever to get, and he honestly works best just outside of melee range. I'm hoping the devs listen to the playerbase saying that he needs a damage buff, or that Lacerates should slow down Survivors so he can hone in on a target better. If they do, he will become very fun while still having enough room to give Survivors counterplay (break LoS, play his Lacerate timer, trick him into thinking Main Event is a good ability, etc).

We'll see how Trickster goes, but I highly recommend NOT getting Twins. I just don't find their playstyle fun at all. You could totally choose to use them for something other than slugging, but you'd also be choosing to basically gimp them.

There is almost no reason to get Twins, they're unfun to play (imo from watching gameplay and reviews), unfun to play against, their perks are bad except for oppression which is just situational which could easily be picked up in a shrine some time, and their lore is just that they were hunted their whole life because they're conjoined twins.

The Trickster is much better, honestly a better killer even if he isn't good (will probably be buffed), he has some good perks, he looks pretty okay to play against, and his aesthetic is so much better.

But before getting either of them, save up 2k more shards in case some godlike perk comes out in a shrine right after you buy them, happened with me when I bought spirit for Rancor and another good perk came up the week after, edited because I implied rancor came up a week after but it was something like Dead Hard.

The Twins are actually pretty good and mastering them will get you lots of 4ks.

The Trickster is about as threatening as Billy with Speed Limiter if we're going off the PTB

Wait, then decide.

Considering I never see the twins, tells me they are not worth it your shards or cells.

Save your money.

Twins are awful, I would either get Trickster or another Killer before them, also their perks are not even great, Opression is decent but not THAT good to guarantee 9k shards. Trickter on the other hand has 3 decent perks, the Hex being actually great since it voids jungle gyms, but since its a Hex is a gamble as always.
