What is with the toxic survivors today?

It's really bad, it's never ever been this bad before. Every single game.
Days like this make me just want to quit playing for good; I know I won't, but man I really should.

I know the feeling. I've swore I'm leaving this game for good 3 times this month and uninstalled it twice just to reinstall it because I hate myself. I will leave one day. Maybe. Probably not but maybe!

Just SWF doing SWF stuff for #########'s and giggles. Meanwhile survivor queues increase and nobody knows why.

Im finding the toxicity is going down a lot at mid ranks. Barley seen any on either side tbh

All I get is full red ranks. I haven't seen anything else all morning.
Matchmaker is technically "Working as intended" meanwhile I've lost like almost every match and somehow not deranked once at all.
The ranking system is just so, so bad.....

I understand your frustration. Playing at different times of the day usually helps me. And killer is going the same way. The other day I was camped every single match, to the point I started bringing Camaraderie.
I just wish these killers where matched against these survivors, so they could have the max of each others experiences haha

Dota 2 I think actually had a system like that. I'm not entirely familiar with it I don't play it, but from what I understand if you rage and disconnect a lot and such; it would actually put you more and more against people who do the same thing, until eventually you can't even play proper games because everyone disconnects lol.

Survivor keep getting nerfed on killers order so playing solo is impossible which results in more ppl playing Swf and be toxic about it or more solo players quit (surprised pikachu face)

They nerf both sides, solo queue is hard because of lack of communication but it's hardly impossible the game is more balanced around that than SWFs which is why people hate playing against SWF's so much because the game was not originally designed with that in mind. It's been getting better slowly for both but it's not there yet.
However bullying and harassing other people is not acceptable for any reason. It's why I won't actually face camp as bubba despite joking that I am tempted to do so; because it's not fair to harass other people because you are upset at something misguided or not.

For real, it's not hard to be gen efficient and that's all it takes to beat like 9/10 killers. The only reason it gets hard is because it's 3 other random people, you don't know if they are going to just throw because they want to go have dinner or let their little brother on their account or something.
Be gen efficient, know how to run a killer, and honestly the coordination required is fairly minimal. Even when playing in a SWF the only info we share we wouldn't already know is like "I am going to come save you" that's about it.

I only played solo on red rank but i can use windows only so many times when there is no pallet because they got wasted at 4-5 gens after 10 mins in game, i wished i had solo mates like u who would carry me.
seems to me like u are getting a way better treatment in this game nothing less.
ofc someone like u couldn´t even consider it having easier than other.

It's disheartening that killers all but rely on survivor mistakes to get any headway. Frankly, I'm tired of it and taking a hiatus from what was once a favorite thing of any game to play.

It's really not that much easier, unless someone has like OoO and is cheesing it with discord. But other than that it's not that big of a deal.
They are more likely to be toxic however, because people in any group are just more likely to be like that, it's human nature, but solo queue can be just as good as a SWF if all four people are not bad or just throwing for whatever reason.
I would take 4 bad players in a SWF, over 4 decent players in a solo any day of the week. Statistically SWF only survive like 4% more of the time for a reason.

I hop on before rank reset to derank or play swf for like an hour but I'm mostly gone. I haven't really played since the shutdowns started and lord knows I got time. That's how I feel about the game right now. I'm home even more than usual and I'd rather play something else. The DS change might bring me back for a bit but unlikely. I've had 10k shards before Twins released and I don't even want them. I don't even want trickster either. The last 2 killers released didn't even convince me to come back.

Not that I care though. If I suspect SWF, I’m going to dodge. If somehow I missed SWF group, I’m gonna afk in corner.

I had a nice fun break earlier. I ran into a SWF that invited me into the gas station on Autohaven, and pretended to be shop keepers and they had me shop at their store haha.
I dunno what the exchange rate is on Demo Dollars though.

Bit late but I think I'm aware of the reason, just hopped off an ONI game and yes survivors are still toxic, MMR is being turned on later today so people are using up this chance to bully anyone they can.

@Echorion quite frankly this game (the high ammount of toxic survivors) has brought out the toxic in me..
Now I just play to kill.. I camp, I tunnel, I let them bleed..
And I enjoy the salty msgs at the end..
I love when I get all SWF red ranks.. they get so salty after getting toxic game play back at them..

I feel like solo queue and team are not really fitting in the same sentence. You mean you and your friend?
If you have 3 people I consider it still a SWF it's not really "Solo" queue when it's more than solo.

There's always the question on "the chiken or the egg".. killers are like that due to toxic survivors, or toxic survivors are like that due to toxic killers..
I have maybe 9 months playing.. already a solid red rand killer.. in my case I became toxic (intentionally from time to time) cause I dislike teabagging, trashing, and salty msgs after the game, so I figured.. if I'm going to get salty msgs however I play, I better play to win and my sole fun.. whatever strategy works and evolves during the game..
When I see very weak survivors I still let them go (you notice at how they move around).. I don't want their firsts impressions of the game to be their last..

@Echorion not sure at how many swf at the time, but last night alone I got salty messages (for my pleassure) of entire teams that new each other and got the hook..
Here's one that was fun.. after killing 2, one of the killed ones started to send "join party requests" NONSTOP while I was chasing on the other 2.. after maybe 10 requests I joined.. I could here them talking to each other and not even expecting for me to join.. so, for my pleasure I talk trash back to them while I hooked the last 2..

I've run into a few in the past little while. it's not just survivors, it's killers too. A lot of face and proxy camping. as a killer I try not to do that but if an unhook notification goes off I'm heading over there.
part of it could be because the rank reset happened today. I'm really looking forward to when all ranks reset to 20, then rank will truly no longer matter.
I'm almost tempted to ask the devs at their next Q&A if they intended to create a game where some of the community take matches so seriously that it sucks the fun right out of them? let me clarify a bit; I'm not saying being good at the game is bad, that's actually damn awesome and I can respect a killer that stomps my team and a team that can outplay me as killer. it's the attitude that gets to me.
people saying GGEZ or get good, or Trash killer when they beat you. and if they loose to you they do the same thing sometimes worse.

and why shouldnt killer try to kill survivors? Most of the time when someone camps or tunnels, they do it to win the match, not to be toxic.

he should try to kill survivors, but the way he does it is the problem. and most campers are bubbas whos only purpose is to give the survivors a headache and they dont care about deranking.
