Gen repair time too short, have to be extended
I'm talking about 1-5 rank.
Now all survivors using prove thyself
without HEX , after 2-3 palette breaking and 1 hook, 3 gen completed, while you found second survivor, 4 gen completed and almost second hook exit gates powered.
with hex, : already everyone knew totem locations and sometimes after 15 sec after starting game, 2 totems (hex and hex dying) destroyed because all totem spawning front of gens or everyone know totem spawn location)
i used HEX ruin+ hex dying + and again 2 min later 3 gen completed.
Gen repair time is completely terrible and need rework.

I don’t think it’s gen repair that needs the rework. I think they need to look at totems being an actual objective instead of a side quest. If all totems get done, it’s the equivalent of adding two more gens to the game, but right now, most survivors don’t waste time with them because they are not a primary objective.

Just slowing them down isn't the right way to go personally. There are alot of factors that influence why gens may fly by, and even then I only experience it once a week or so.

- I would make 10sec to collect Gas give you ability to fix 40sec Gen. (which make a single disrupt will force Survivor to collect the 3rd time to finish a Gen if they go alone. A slash on survivor who has Gas will instantly deplete Gas they're holding.
- A harder way to fix is, 10sec to collect Gas, 10sec to fill Gas in Gen, allow you to fix that specific Gen for 20sec , a Gen done in 40sec. (you have a total of 20sec collecting Gas, 20sec filling Gas to Gen, 40sec doing Gen. A kick on Gen will not regress Gen, but regress Gas, can only be stopped if filling Gen to Gen. A slash on survivor who has Gas will instantly deplete Gas they're holding.
Total of time to do a Gen still 80sec, though it requires the shift between Gas & Gen. Its likely to make Killer slash multiple survivor rather than tunneling one down, because Killer can deplete Gas.

I admit it feels unfair at the moment. By the time you hook 1 survivor 3 gens popped. 1/16 of your objective was completed in the time it took them to do 3/5's theirs. However I don't think increasing gen times is the answer. The issue I find is while your chasing one survivor the other 3 are perfectly safe to work on gens. The game puts extreme importance on how fast you can make that first down and pressure someone else. That's why killers whose power helps them win the chase sooner are the meta.
- At the start of the match 4 people are on gens.
- You find someone and chase them. 3 people on gens.
- You hook someone. 2 are on gens and 1 is making a save.
- You chase someone before the save is made. 1 person on a gen, 1 being chased, one going for the save and 1 on the hook.
The way the game is designed the faster you down someone and chase another person, the better. If you can hook someone before 3 gens pop you stand a much higher chance of winning the match. If your like most M1 killers where you can only hook them after 3 gens are finished, the match is already half over.
The problem with increasing gen times are those moments where the killer is able to apply pressure and you feel like your at a stand still. I hope this early game warm-up the devs have been talking about for years actually does something.

While I like the idea of adding a new objective to complete before jumping straight onto a generator, this sounds a little complicated.
How about this:
In order to repair a gen, you have to possess a Wrench. These randomly spawn somewhere within range of the survivor spawns, and are relatively easy to spot for survivors, but not so obvious they can just make a beeline for them right away. They're kinda like the Red Glyphs but with a slightly larger reveal radius.
Picking up a Wrench essentially grants you a permanent buff effect that unlocks the ability to repair gens for the rest of the match.
Purple Toolboxes as well as one Green Toolbox add-on can grant this buff as well and take the place of a Wrench, saving you time looking for the Wrench at the start of the game, but means you have to bring a toolbox with you. It also means if you lose that toolbox, you have to then look for a Wrench.

Gen speeds are fine, we just need some kind of early game or another objective.

Well Ruin/Undying was a thing...then survivors cried about it so much that devs had to nerf it. it's almost like survivors had to do an already secondary objective. Also as far as NOED....Just do bones...or you know that secondary objective.

Corrupt is the only thing that's going to keep them from splitting across gens like that early game. It will shrink the map a little bit to help you during the early game
