Nonstop matched up against survivor's clearly higher ranked than me. how am I to fairly pip up or de-pip if i'm being unevenly matched up against survivors

Well for a start don't burn an offering for Coldwind. Its one of Mikey's worst maps.
But yes the matchmaking is very bad right now. I am red rank survivor and I had two rank 18's in one of my games tonight with only two perks between them.

There are not enough killers around. Which results in this.

Your not. The system is garbage, it doesn't work, devs agreed it doesn't work, change is coming but at a snails pace.
All you can do is basically just ignore it like most of us do, and just play the game and don't give a hoot about any of that.

I got 4 gamers with Keys, went full sweat and saw after the match that the highest ranked was 14....I am a Rank 1.

The worst part about this is the fact that when I look at that it doesn't seem that bad for this game lol. Matchmaking's so bad the sooner it finally gets fixed the better.
Coldwind for Mikey though 😬 that maps bad for most killers so that wouldn't have helped much to be honest.

The only change we are getting is a hidden mmr that keeps the priority of time over fair matches. Nothing will change and they can throw their hands up and say you are correctly matched because you can't check.

Thats not really bad matchmaking for dbd standards. Even when you factor rank reset there was no red rank.
I played as red rank survivor against many yellow rank killer.

This isn't bad matchmaking at all.
People seem to want to be matched with people of their exact same rank every time. There just aren't enough players to pull that off.
For starters, higher ranks are more saturated, so at red ranks you might mostly face other red ranks, but at ranks <10, you're most likely looking at a +/-6 range, which on a bad day with few players could be anything from 8-20. There also aren't enough killers for survivors.
If the MM system is supposed to wait until it gets five people of the same rank, or even of the same rank +/-2, then you'd be waiting 30+ minutes for a match.

It's all part of the fun though, practice makes perfect. Good job for not being a spoilsport and disconnecting :)

Ha, yeah. I'm a red ranked killer, was playing a ton of Nurse. Had a SWF (similar names) team of matched Blendettes, each bringing a different item.
Went full sweat and destroyed them. No gens done, 12 hooks in under 5 minutes.
The match ends and they're all rank 17/18.
I pipped up to rank 1. Very fair.

for some headsup I personally like the map and i didnt mind so much i was losing it. it's more just the unfairness in the matchmaking system im complaining about lol I went into the map knowing full awareness that its not the best map for mikey

Dumb luck is how I win almost all of my matches...
This works the opposite way around too. Was playing trapper, had to go AFK for a minute. Three gens done and all 4 sacrificed. Three rank 20s and one rank 19 (my killer rank is a mere 17 at the moment.)
I felt really bad for them when I realised that the matchmaking had mucked up again...
